chapter fourteen - ELLE and ... L.A.

The couple had already woken up when the sun had risen and immediately lit up the whole room as the ceiling-to-floor windows allowed.

Chaeyoung had attempted to shield the annoyingly bright sunlight from her eyes whilst Jaehyun was still fast asleep.

"Geez, why is it so sunny today?" Chaeyoung had muttered to herself, squinting her eyes as she sat up, staring out the window as she pulled at the blanket to cover herself up.

"Go back to sleep." Jaehyun had groggily muttered with his eyes closed, yet aware that his girlfriend was awake.

Chaeyoung blinked at him.

"The sun's too bright." She complains softly, but gets back under the covers nonetheless.

Jaehyun says nothing, only sniffling as Chaeyoung had shifted around, trying to get as much blanket as possible as it was a chilly morning.

Finally, Jaehyun reaches behind him and presses a black button located near the light switch.

Automatic curtains which stood idle on the sides of the large window-wall had slowly transfigured to cover it, blocking the sunshine and leaving the room dark.

"Oh, that's better." Chaeyoung says, and Jaehyun softly chuckles.

He then reaches under the covers to pull at Chaeyoung's waist, engulfing her into his arms and causing her to let out a small squeal at the sudden contact.

"Sleep." He commands, pressing a kiss to the top of her hair, smelling his favorite strawberry-vanilla scent.

Chaeyoung wraps an arm around Jaehyun's, letting her body mold into his, their bodies creating a comforting warmth against the chilly bedroom air.

"It's almost nine, though. Shouldn't we get up?" She asks him quietly. It wasn't like she wanted to get up, but still- they had things to be doing.

"No. We don't have to be up until twelve. We're getting picked up around twelve-thirty." Jaehyun explains, his morning voice music to Chaeyoung's ears.

Chaeyoung clicks her tongue. "Jae, we can't get up at twelve if we're getting picked up at twelve-thirty. We both need time to shower and-"

"Shower together. It saves time." Jaehyun says cheekily, causing Chaeyoung to gasp and swat at his chest as a blush had formed across her cheeks.

"We're getting up at eleven." Chaeyoung says, quickly changing the subject.

"Fine." Jaehyun replied.

Jaehyun then hugs Chaeyoung tightly. "I just want to hold you forever." He admits quietly, and a smile tugs at Chaeyoung's lips as her stomach does a somersault.

They had lay in silence for awhile, and Jaehyun had drifted off to sleep again as Chaeyoung would ever-so-often open her eyes to admire him.

Leaning up, Chaeyoung gave her boyfriend a soft peck on the lips.

"Good morning, Jaehyun." She murmurs softly with a gentle smile before letting her eyes flutter close to catch a few more hours of sleep in his arms.
