superficial love

chapter fifteen - flights and LA nights.

"Jung Jaehyun, I am going to kill you!" Chaeyoung whisper-shouted into her phone, clearly annoyed.

"I know, I know! I'm sorry! We're on our way!" Her boyfriend on the other side apologized, resulting in Chaeyoung's prolong sigh.

'Think happy thoughts,' Chaeyoung tells herself, "you and Jaehyun are going on vacation... everything will be fine."

Except, it wasn't fine due to Jaehyun forgetting his wallet back at the dorms, having Hyun Joon and Jaehyun's hair and makeup stylists, who'd also be joining them on the trip, turn the car back around to retrieve it. It was currently seven-twenty in the morning, and they were all supposed to arrive at the airport around seven o'clock sharp.

"I am so done with you." Chaeyoung groaned at his irresponsibility, looking around at their publicist team, along with the security team, and Vlive team, all waiting around for Jaehyun to arrive so they could check-in and head to the terminals.

It provided some aid that fans weren't allowed in the actual terminals, or to block the check-in lanes, but the deafening screams from BLINKs and NCTZENs from outside and the first floor upon hearing the couple would be there were loud enough to give Chaeyoung anxiety with no end.

"I'll be there soon, babe. I'm sorry. Tell them we apologize, again. Quit worrying." Jaehyun says, feeling quite bad himself that everyone was waiting.

"Okay, yeah. Sorry, i'm just on-edge right now. See you soon." Chaeyoung replies, holding tightly onto her large suitcase as she took a deep breath, doing her best to avoid looking too stressed upon the many concerned gazes the crew work on their faces.

"See you soon." Jaehyun had responded before the call had ended.

"Everything okay?" Minji asks, dressed all-out in expensive sunglasses, a flowy, long dress and adorning a large, floppy, summer hat despite it being cold beyond belief in Seoul. Minji was definitely more prepared for the vacation than Jaehyun was, her and Ahn-Min tagging along last minute with the whole publicist team.

"Yeah, just a little shaken up about Jaehyun being late." Chaeyoung says, forcing a laugh before taking a seat beside Minji.

"Oh, honey. Don't worry about it. We still have an hour before our flight arrives, anyway." Minji reassures, patting Chaeyoung's hand.

"Which isn't a lot of time, considering the camera crew has to get all of their stuff checked in, and then we have to go through passports and-" Ahn-Min had began to ramble on, only to be elbowed harshly in the rib by Minji, shooting him a glare as Chaeyoung immediately looked guilty. "I mean, yeah. Everything will be fine." Ahn-Min says with just a hint of sarcasm as he rubbed his ribcage, wincing.

"They're on their way soon. The worst thing that could happen is we miss the flight- but even then, there's a flight heading the same way two hours later. No worries, we'll get there eventually." Minji pats Chaeyoung's shoulder, a bright smile on her face.

Chaeyoung could only weakly smile, wishing she had half the positivity that her publicist had.

"Haha, check out Wonshik, he's totally knocked out." Ahn-Min comments, nodding his head towards Chaeyoung's manager's way.
