chapter eleven - stay together

"Thank you for taking me out. I had fun." Chaeyoung tells him as they had pulled up to her dorm, sitting in the car.

Jaehyun smiles. "I'm glad I did. It's good you had fun." He squishes her cheeks together with his hands, not being able to get over how adorable she was.

Chaeyoung swatted his hands away with a pout. "I'm not going to see you until... Friday night?" Chaeyoung says in question, as that was the award show night.

Jaehyun shrugged. "You never know. I might swing by if I miss you too much." He winks, and Chaeyoung can't help but feel a surge of hope that he really will miss her 'too much'.

"I'm always just a call away, you know." He added, and Chaeyoung shot him a look of disbelief.

"Uh, yeah right. Like you have time to be talking to me. You'll get in trouble, or Yeri will just kill me and  you both. " She shook her head as it would never work.

Jaehyun raised an eyebrow, a glint of challenge in his eyes. "Oh really?" He questions, "deal. I'll call you tonight when I get home."

Chaeyoung shrugs, passively. "Okay then."

Prior to arriving, Chaeyoung had called Lisa to open the door for her soon, and the door had swung open, not only Lisa peering out, but the other two as well.

"There go your members." Jaehyun snickers, nodding his head towards the door.

As the windows were tinted, the three girls merely squinted at the car, unsure if it was Chaeyoung or not as they couldn't see anything.

"Alright, thank you again, Jaehyun." Chaeyoung says, slipping her purse on as she hugged onto her winter coat.

Jaehyun hummed in reply. "Mhm. I'll call you." He tells her before they had both leaned in for a quick peck.

"Drive safe!" Chaeyoung says as she had begun to step out of the car.

Jaehyun hums in reply, smiling as Chaeyoung gave another little wave before closing the door shut.

He chuckles upon seeing her skip up the steps of the dorm entrance and usher her members who craned their necks to get a peek of him, inside.

"Park Chaeyoung. Immediately. Tell us what happened." Jennie pesters as all three girls, clad in their pajamas had followed Chaeyoung to her room. "There was absolutely no reports of seeing you guys in public- so why were you out with Jaehyun, HM?"

Chaeyoung shrugged, her back turned to them as she fought off a smile. "Nothing much, really."

Attempting to dodge their questions, Chaeyoung acted as if they weren't there.

She simply took off her coat and purse, even going to the closet to pick out her pajamas.

"Hey, Park Chaeyoung," Jisoo calls, "is that a love-bite on your nec-"

"Huh?!" Chaeyoung immediately gasped, her hands going to cover her neck.

"AH-" The others all exclaimed, screaming.

"So you two did do something!" Jennie exclaimed, her jaw wide open.

Jisoo clutched onto Lisa tightly. "Oh my God, I was just saying it to tease you- I didn't think you actually-"
