"I NEED to go with her!" Maverick's voice pleaded. "I won't let you leave without me!" I awoke with a start. Maverick. I remembered his face, and his tight hug. Then I remembered falling, that's what got me into this mess. I fell.
A mirror was set up on the opposite side of the room, my Mixed matched eyes stared back at me. My wings were healing, still broken, but healing. I got up out of my bed, and walked towards the door.
The hallway was empty and quiet, as I tuned the corner the shy nurse caught my eyes and quickly turned away. "Y-you shouldn't me out of bed." She said, avoiding eye contact. "You're s-still not stabl-" she stopped abruptly, like she had said too much. "Hurt them." Maverick's voice whispered in my head. "No." I said out loud, my voice was a horse whisper. The nurse left the room quickly, like I was going to explode.
"Can patient 542 please come to the head doctors office. NOW." A voice over the intercom boomed. I followed a few signs and found my was there quickly. I sat down in a chair across from the head doctor. They had a white lab coat on, his hair was greying and he had a stern expression on his face.
"I heard you were walking around the corridors." He said in a monotone voice. "You are an unstable girl, your mind in tainted and you not fit for the outside world!" He boomed. "I will have nurse Parkinson escort you to your room." As on cue, a nurse opened the door and lead me to my room.
I sat on my bed, looking at my wings. What was the legend about four wingers? Something about them having special powers or something. Hmmm I wonder what mine is, if the legend is true.
Pain shoots through my back. A wild smile creeps onto my mouth, my eyes are won't close, like they are glued open. My head jerked to the right so I was staring right at the Camera that was monitoring me.
"See what I am now?" I said in a deep voice, that wasn't my own. "You created this monster." I collapsed, regaining control of my body but having no energy in it. My eyes roll back into my head as I hear the noise of alarms get quieter and quieter.
