Study Brawl

We ran to the other side of the school, getting into the classroom on time. I looked over to where we were going to sit, seeing Derek with the table of people.

"Oh hey Derek!" I said, sitting down next to him.

"You know Derek?" A boy with long hair asked.

"He's my twin, so yeah I know him." I laughed, tapping Derek's shoulder. "Looks like you met some new friends, huh Derek?"

"Yeah, I was sitting alone in Chemistry when they sat down next to me. I joined them because there was no one else I could join." Derek told me.

"Hey, what about Rick and Max?" Another kid with a short Afro asked.

"They were busy and had to make up a test in their History class, Nicholas." Derek told the boy, who was Nicholas.

"Hey." I whispered in Derek's ear. "Are you even going to introduce me to your fiends?"

Derek jumped a bit, forgetting about me for a moment. "Oh yeah! Nikki, this is Nicholas, Scott, Roman, and Brandon." He pointed to every guy so I knew who was who.

Nicholas was the one with the light brown afro, Scott had really curly auburn hair, Roman had a kind of big nose, and Brandon was the quiet one with the long hair. "Hi guys!" I wave my hand to each one.

"Hey." Scott said.

"Yo what up?" Roman exclaimed

"Hi." Brandon lightly spoke.

"And I see you met Mia and Bekki." Nicholas said.

"Yeah, they're in my French class." I admitted. These guys seemed pretty cool, but something seemed different about them. I just started to work on my French homework when someone ran in.

"Roman!" A boy younger than us called out, dashing to our table out of breath.

"Jake! What are you doing here? I thought you had detention!" Roman exclaimed.

"You know me, biggums. I find my way out when I can." Jake smirked.

"C'mon Jake! I may be your older brother but you need to see the troubles of pranking everyone!" Roman complained. They are definitely siblings. "Plus if dad hears that you ditched detention again, you know what he'll do!"

"I know I know. He'll chop chop me up with Betty even though that means I'm grounded." Jake did air quotes as he said this, making Mia and Bekki laugh. "But Hunter really needs to talk to you about a girl he met!"

I immediately blushed. So these guys are all friends with Hunter and Hunter wants to talk to me. Bekki looked over and smiled. "Did you meet Hunter?" She asked me, making everyone stare at me.

"Yeah, actually. We tried to reach for the same paint can in Art, but he gave it to me in the end." I said.

Derek glared at me. "You seriously got some guy to like you in your first period?!" He exclaimed. He had a girlfriend once, who was a huge bitch to him, so he has always been worried about my love life since he broke up with her.

"I don't know if he like me, Derek!" I yelled, looking straight at Jake. "Did he say he liked me?!"

He shrugged. "No clue." I groaned as he said this. Its not like Hunter is not attractive or anything, it might just cause some water to boil over with my new friends. The lunch bell rang, signaling me to pack up and drag Derek with me to lunch.

"I can't believe you Nikki!" He yelled at me.

"Nothing is wrong!" I exclaimed back, marching into the lunch line. "And I just want to be friends with him anyways." That made us go quiet as we got our food.
