I looked over the horizon, seeing our new house in view. A grin appeared upon my face to see that it was blue and a two story. "I see it dad!" I exclaimed, jumping up and down in my seat.

"Wow, good eyes!" Dad said, pulling up to the driveway. Derek and I got out of the car and ran to the trunk to get our bags. We headed to our house and looked in awe at how big our house really was.

"Wow." Derek spoke up, looking around all the rooms. "This place is amazing!"

"And your rooms will be upstairs because the master is down here." Dad said. My face brightened up as I ran upstairs, seeing mom in a room.

"Mom!" I yelled, jumping on her for a hug.

"Hello my beautiful girl." Mom said, setting me down. "Derek!" She spoke up, seeing Derek run in for a hug.

"Hey mom." Derek quietly said, releasing Mom.

"Which room do you want? They are all the same size." Mom showed us the three rooms upstairs, one of them will become a storage room.

We walked into the last one, making me gasp. It had a slanted ceiling with a window that stuck out a bit, having a small seat next to it. "Can I have this one Derek please?" I begged him, wanting it so bad.

"Yeah, I wanted that first room anyways." Derek replied, making me hug him.

My eyes sparkled with joy, knowing exactly what I was going to do with this room. "THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!" I screamed, making Derek and Mom smile.

"That was nice of you Derek." Mom laughed making me smile. I placed my bags in the room and ran back downstairs, giving Dad a hug.

"THIS PLACE IS AMAZING THANK YOU!" I quickly said, giving out a small laugh.

"Nice, glad you love it here!" Dad smiled, making me grin. "We will unpack our boxes after school tomorrow, ok?" He pointed over to all of the boxes, that were conveniently in where our living room would be.

I ran back upstairs, barging into Derek's new room. "Wow, first time in my unpacked room and you don't knock?"

"There isn't any rules set yet, remember?" I said, sitting in the floor next to Derek. We were like this for a few minutes until I slammed my hands in the carpet. "Hey! Lets check out our neighborhood while walking!" I exclaimed.

"That actually is a good idea from you for once!" Derek sarcastically answered, making me punch him.

"Hey! I make a lot of good plans!" I stood up and left the room.

"Well give me an example!" Derek dared me, making me groan.

"I'll think later, but now, lets go!" I marched down the stairs, finding dad in the kitchen this time. "Dad! Derek and I want to walk around the neighborhood! You know, like get used to the place and meet our neighbors!"

Dad looked at us with a blank look until he finally nodded. "Ok stay safe and only walk on this block!"

"Ok!" Derek said as we left our house.

We walked around for a few minutes, making me yawn and placed my hands behind my head on boredom. I closed one eye and looked over at Derek with a smirk on my face. Derek raised an eyebrow as he looked over at me. "What do you want?" He asked me.

I chuckled. "Nothing." I said, grinning from ear to ear. I was going to say more when I heard a new familiar voice call out to us.

"NIKKI! DEREK!" Mia called out from across the street. "What are you guys doing here?!" She asked us.
