The realization that the Bringers of Hope had been strong enough to survive with her old powers scares Lady Parocaav. Everything that has been thrown at them, they overcame. Now here The two of them are, standing before the Goddess of Life, ready to vanquish her. The thought that Drayk was Tao all along boggles the goddess' mind, as well as Roku's.
"You!" Lady Parocaav yells, "It cannot be!"
Drayk smirks before saying anything, "You really are oblivious, aren't you?"
"I.... don't understand," Roku says rather confused, "You.... Tao?"
"Yes. The spell you witnessed was me sending myself back to the Ragnarok Wars. I, he is needed there," Drayk replies, "Now then. We will have time to discuss at a later time. Prepare yourself Lady Parocaav! Your time has finally come!"
Roku immediately gets the idea to suppress the Goddess of Life's powers once more. Now she has the chance without worry of attack, Drayk is here. Once he senses her suppressed powers, Drayk charges at her with his hands sparking. Before the goddess can retrieve her blade, she is electrocuted by him. She screams out in pain as she leaps away from them.
Drayk disappears in a flash of light and reappears directly behind Lady Parocaav. She has time to react before she shot with an explosive fireball. Her body is enveloped by the blast while she lands back on the ground. The goddess snarls a bit and charges at Roku. Just before she is reached, Drayk appears in between them to counter the goddess.
"I don't think so," Drayk says with a smile on his face, "This is between you and I."
Lady Parocaav snaps her fingers which makes he blade appear in her hand. She slashes at Drayk, but he is able to dodge every strike she makes. His movement is faster than she can keep up. Anger, as well as fear fills her from head to toe. He really is the great Tao of Ragnarok. Such incredible speed, that which she hadn't seen she was temporarily defeated by Tao. This to her is even worse however. In the past, he did not utilize the Ultimate Magic if he even could. Now though, he has all that power from the past, along with the powers she had sacrificed.
Lady Parocaav shakes this thought from her mind as she continues to strike at him. He easily dodges every attack she makes toward him. Finally after a moment, he makes a broadsword appear in his right hand. He spins the blade and slashes at her faster than she expects. His blade cuts the length of the goddess' arm making it bleed. Drayk smiles while shooting another fireball at her.
Lady Parocaav counters the attack with a wall of ice and water. The fire steams on impact with it. Drayk slices through the ice wall with his sword. Just as he does, Lady Parocaav is awaiting him. Their blades spark as they collide with one another. Sparks flash like little explosions with each connection.
"You would be nothing without me!" Lady Parocaav yells at the top of her lungs, "I will not be bested by you with my new power!"
"It's a shame Parocaav. You have reined over the people of this planet for millennia, and yet you cannot even defeat your own powers," Drayk teases her, "You underestimate the power you gave up. Little do you know the power you once held!"
"You bastard!"
Lady Parocaav clashes her blade against the Bringer's continuously. Sparks still fly like little fireworks as she does. The goddess looks into his yellow eyes and realizes he is smiling. He is enjoying this! This angers her even more as she makes her blade frost over. This time on impact, her blade freezes Drayk's to it. She pulls back her arm, ripping the sword from his hand.
Drayk laughs as he lifts his arms above his head. The temperature in the air escalates dramatically causing the ice to melt a bit. Once loosened, Drayk disappears to right behind her. He grabs his blade which easily separates in the melting ice. Drayk kicks the goddess in the back causing to fall forward onto her stomach.
"This is almost disappointing Lady Parocaav," Drayk laughs, "You cannot even control your new powers! You will fail!"
"Now who's the one underestimating Tao? I have not even gotten warmed up yet!" Lady Parocaav laughs.
The goddess vanishes into thin air, her laugh echoing as it fades away. After a moment, she reappears behind Roku. She slashes her back and vanishes again. With her focus broken, Roku stops to heal herself. In doing so, the planet starts to react to the raw power of Gaia from the goddess. Roku quickly regains her control and suppresses her power once more.
The air begins to chill, freezing the water molecules. The Bringers of Hope find it difficult to move as it cools even more. Their bodies start to freeze in place. Drayk slowly moves his arms to summon a fire tornado in front of himself. The heat melts the air around him as he moves it over to Roku while staying close to it. He reaches her before half her body has frozen over and she swiftly heals themselves.
"You can still wield Ice Magic?" Drayk asks outright.
"Indeed. I was born with Ice Magic first and foremost. I would never have given that to you!" Lady Parocaav replies in laughter, "I am the infamous Ice Queen you know. I was that long before I was ever the Goddess of Life."
"Enough chat Drayk! You have no idea how much energy suppressing her power takes!" Roku shouts out, "Finish her while you can!"
"She's pregnant you know," Lady Parocaav points out, "In case you didn't know, father-to-be."
"What!?" Drayk says surprised while turning to face Roku, "Really?"
"Yes, now finish her damnit! We can talk about that later!" Roku yells at him.
A strange feeling washes over him as he lets the news sink in. She's pregnant with his child. Even after the seven years he spent in the past, he never knew. Leon nor Lord Bahemyth ever mentioned it to him before. Suddenly he is stricken with sheer determination to end the suffering of this world. This, above all else, is the main reason he must finish the goddess off, once and for all.
His eyes glow a bright blue as he body is shrouded in a blue and white aura. He can focus his thoughts even deeper into the Ultimate Magic than he had ever seen before. Power from the cosmos themselves rain down from the heavens to him. Drayk absorbs this power and laughs out while facing the goddess. He has never felt such power in his life, it's rather incredible how it makes him feel.
With every step he takes, his foot breaks into the rock and the shards float up above the ground. Lady Parocaav realizes she is unable to move as she watches him slowly approach her. Drayk stops just a few feet away from her and just smiles. His aura pours out into his right hand, making a sword made of pure energy appear.
"This world has been plagued with darkness for far too long. You have caused this world enough pain, enough torment.... and far too much misery," Drayk calmly tells her, "This world will finally know peace."
"This world would not even be here if it weren't for me! I gave life to this world! I created the magic that this world uses!" Lady Parocaav screams angrily, "I created this damn world!"
"No. Gaia created this world. You did bring life to it, but you also have made that life suffer its entire existence. You are a cancer in this world," Roku interjects.
Before the Goddess of Life can respond again, Drayk uses the energy sword to impale her. He turns the blade sideways in her and cuts out her side. The blade tears her torso open, blood comes gushing out and she screams out in pain. The blood stops instantly and a blue and white light starts to envelop the goddess.
As her body starts to disintegrate, the world starts to regain color. A bright green light pours from Lady Parocaav into the planet. Grass bursts forth from the ground like a wave throughout the Ragnarok valley with flowers blooming. The skies fill with a gorgeous blue and the clouds show a true white once again. Drayk drops to his knees feeling exhausted as the power of the cosmos leaves his body.
Just before Lady Parocaav disappears completely she manages to say, "Goodbye mother. Goodbye father. You fought triumphantly. The.... world is in good hands."
"What.... did she say?" Roku asks while approaching Drayk to heal him.
"I.... uh.... what do you suppose she meant by that?" Drayk says rather baffled himself.
"Is it finally over?"
"I sure hope so Roku. It's been a long journey to this point."
"Yeah! You have quite the story to catch me up on, Tao!"
