It is sunny today; so I am glad Sam chose shorts. I am actually surprised at how good a job he did about finding me an outfit.
"Sam can have a fashionista moment." Jared says. "You look great."
Paul enters the house and he seems shocked by Sam's outfit for me as well. I go to their kitchen, wanting to cook for them. I know the mush eat a lot, because a wolf is a version of a dog. I cook a lot of biscuits and sausages, I cook a bunch of scrambled eggs and grits. I even make a bunch of oatmeal with cinnamon and brown sugar.
"Come and eat, boys! And Leah!" I call.
I met Leah at Harry Clearwater's funeral a couple months ago. That was a depressing time, but I am glad to have met Leah.
The pack piles into the kitchen after I get myself a plate of food. I am stuck between my new friends, Paul and Jared. Quil, Embry, and Jacob are sitting across from us. Leah is beside Seth, and Sam is sitting between Embry and Paul.
"How did these two warm me up so fast?" I ask.
"Our body heat is 108 degrees." Jared replies. "It's one of my favorite traits about being part wolf."
"Just be careful when Paul is angry." Quil says. "He's a bit of a hothead."
"Yeah." Jared adds. "His temper gets the best of him, sometimes."
I look at Paul. "Well, I will be careful not to anger you, Pauly."
Paul narrows his eyes at me. "Pauly? Really, Nessa?"
I smile before I finish up my breakfast. I gather the empty dishes, and I wash them up. Jared helps me out, he dries and puts the dishes away, because he knows where it all goes.
"Thank you for the help, Jared." I say softly, popping my back. "I appreciate it."
"It's no problem." Jared says. "I think Sam is taking you truck shopping."
I smile. "Yay!"
Jared laughs as we walk into the living room. Sam is waiting for me by the door. I high five Paul and Jared before I follow Sam out to his jeep. He drives us to the car lot in La Push. There are some nice trucks.
"Pick out the truck you like, Vanessa." Sam whispers in my ear. "I'll get you anything you want."
I find a black and yellow dodge truck. "I want this one!"
Sam pays for it, cash money, no card or check, cash. The salesman hands me a key and I get in behind the wheel. Sam follows me all he way to Port Angeles, so I can legalize my new truck.
Sam pays for that too, legalizing my truck. Sam is amazing!
"Go on home, Van." Sam says. "I don't want Charlie to worry too much. Bella should be home now."
I hug Sam. "Thank you so much, Sammy. This means a lot."
"Anything for you, Nessa." Sam says, kissing my cheek.
I get behind the wheel of my truck again, and I pull away fro he court house. Sam is behind me until I cross the line to Forks. I pull into the house, and dad is just now getting out of his police cruiser.
"Whose truck?" Dad asks.
"Mine." I reply smiling. "Sam bought it for me, and he paid for it to be legalized."
"That's nice of him." Dad smiles. "I always liked Sam."
"Sam is amazing." I coo. "I like him."
Dad wraps an arm around my shoulder, and we walk inside. Bella and Edward are sitting in the couch, snuggling. Dad scowls at the sight and he goes to the kitchen, to have a cup of coffee.
"Edward. Staying for dinner?" I ask, trying to joke.
Edward laughs. "No, ma'am. Thank you for the offer. I better go. School tomorrow, senior year."
"Good luck, and be careful on your way home." I say. "Tell Rosalie I said thanks, she knows why, ad that I said hello."
Edward gives me a half hug before he leaves. I go to the kitchen, because both dad and Bella begged me to cook. I make some lemon chicken, mashed potatoes with chives, shells n cheese, and some bread cakes.
"Smells amazing." Bella coos. "Absolutely amazing."
"Tastes even better." Dad adds.
"Thank you, guys." I smile.
"Vanessa, I have a question." Bella says.
"Okay, ask." I blurt.
"Who's plane do you like better, Sam's or he Cullen's.?" Bella asks.
"Sam's, of course." I smile. "He always keeps his house warm, and I can practice my cooking more than this. I cook for a group."
Bella nods with pursed lips. I wash up the dishes before round upstairs, to my room. I change into some panties, a gray hoodie and some knee length socks. I lay on my stomach in my bed, and I face the wall. I yawn and I drift off to sleep.
