*BACK TO PRESENT*

In the bathroom, the one-way cell phone that Adam and Lawrence had found in the box suddenly started ringing. Lawrence looked at it in surprise. Adam snapped out of his flashbacks to look at it as well. Cautiously, Lawrence bent down and picked up the phone and flipped it up.

"Who is this?" Lawrence said, putting the phone up to his ear.

He was shocked to hear the sweet little voice of his daughter Diana, from the other end of the phone.

"Daddy?"

"Diana?" Lawrence answered, shooting up.

"Daddy, is that you?" Diana and Alison were still bound to the bed, with Zep kneeling down next to them with his gun and holding the phone up to Diana's ear.

"Yeah, baby, it's me," Lawrence said, sniffling. "I'm here."

"I'm scared, Daddy." Diana said, sobbing.

"Don't worry, honey," Lawrence reassured. "Everything's going to be okay. Where's Mommy?"

"She's here with me."

"Let me talk to her sweetie, okay? Put Mommy on."

"The bad man from my room is here." Diana said. "He has us tied up and he has a gun."

"W- what man?" Lawrence said.

"Please come home Daddy!" Diana cried. Zep kissed her on the top of her head, before moving the phone over to Alison's ear, pushing some of her hair back with the barrel of his gun.

"Larry?" Alison said.

"Ally?" Lawrence answered. "Is that you?"

"Is Adam there?" Alison said.

A wave of shock overcame Lawrence as he glanced over at Adam. "How do you know about Adam? What's going on?"

"Don't believe Adam's lies," Alison said through her sobs. It was clearly that Zep had forced her to say all of this. "He knows you. He knew all about you before today." With that, Zep snatched the phone back and hung up.

Lawrence heard the dial tone at the other end of the phone hanging up.

"Hello? Ally? Ally?" he said desperately. No answer. he stood up, pointing at the surveillance camera and looking directly at it. "God damn you!" he yelled. "If you so much as lay a finger on them, I'll kill you! You hear me? You son of a bitch! I'll kill you!" He leant forward against the floor and began sobbing, pounding his fist on the floor violently.

"Are they okay?" Adam called across the room.

Lawrence sat up, his voice calmly. He spoke very firmly, trying to supress his rage. "My wife, she mentioned your name."

"Really?" Adam said, clearly surprised. "What did she say?"

"She told me," Lawrence continued. "not to believe you."

"Believe me about what?" Adam said, not looking at him. At this point Lawrence had no doubt that he was hiding something.

"She told me you knew me." Lawrence stood up menacingly. "Who are you?"

"You know who I am." Adam said, still not making eye contact.

"You're a liar!" Lawrence snapped. "I need to know the truth!"

Adam stood up aggressively, looking at Lawrence. "I'm the liar?"

"What did you do last night, Lawrence? Work at a hospital? Saving sick children? You told me that after you left your house later night, you went to the hospital."
