Sherlock was perched on the edge of his chair, practically trembling with built up energy. He was drumming his fingers against the chair quite loudly and rather annoyingly.
Poor John was trying desperately to ignore his flat mate and continue typing the latest entry of his blog - a particularly interesting case where Sherlock had discovered a strange bug in the wifi and developed an electronic anti-virus - however, it was extremely difficult to ignore Sherlock's consistent and determinedly loud beat.
John winced and closed his eyes.
"Sherlock-" he started, but sherlock interrupted him.
"I need a case, John!" He flopped into his chair, swinging his legs over the edge like a small child.
"Sherlock! We just solved one! You can't expect a case all the time! Honestly, you always go a bit mad when you have nothing to do."
Sherlock drew himself up indignantly, clutching the sheet he was wearing around him with a haughty expression on his face.
"That is, quite simply, John, because THERE IS NOTING TO DO!"
John flinched at Sherlock's yelling.
"Aright, alright!" He said, rather crossly. "We can go for a walk."
Sherlock instantly brightened up.
"Wonderful," he said cheerfully, grabbing his scarf from its spot and running into his room - hopefully to get changed out of his sheet, though John could never tell with Sherlock.
John sighed as he hit the save button on his blog, then lifted himself out of his chair.
Life with Sherlock wasn't always fun. But, John thought while smiling slightly, at least it's never boring!
