The Doctor had pulled out a bunch of chairs and set them up around the control room of the Tardis. He'd set them up in a circle so everyone was face to face, and had gotten three extra chairs - one each for Cas and Gabriel, Dean assumed, but who was the third chair for?

The doctor looked at it in a disgruntled way when everyone was seated, as if he had hoped that someone would come and fill it. Dean squinted and just managed to make out initials carved into the chair - C.O.O. Who was that? The doctor had mentioned a Clara before- maybe that was her.

"Right," the Doctor said, clearing his throat. "Who wants to start?"

He looked around expectantly and waited. When no one spoke up he seemed to deflate a bit. "Oh alright, fine, I'll go," he said.

"My name is the Doctor-" that was as far as he got before Sherlock interrupted.

"Doctor what?" Sherlock asked impatiently. "Why on earth would you refer to yourself as 'the doctor,' instead of using your name?"

The doctor shrugged. "'The doctor' is a name I chose," he said. "No one knows my real name. Not anymore." He looked a little sad, and Dean definitely didn't want to know what he meant by 'choosing' the name.

"Where are you from?" Sam asked tentatively.

"I'm from Galifrey," the Doctor said, cheering up a little. In response to the blank stares he received from the others, he elaborated;

"Galifrey is a planet in outer space. It's where my species live- used to - live."

"Wait a minute, your 'species?'" Dean asked warily.

"The Time Lords, yes. Same basic anatomy as a human, but we have two hearts and five brains." Seeing the shocked looks he was receiving, he relented. "Okay, I was joking. About the brains part. I really do have two hearts though. You can check, if you want." He looked pointedly at John, the most qualified doctor in the room, who slowly stood up and walked over. The doctor pulled a stethoscope from somewhere - Dean did not want to know where - and handed it to John, who took it and pressed it to both sides of the Doctors chest, one after the other. He stood back, face calm but hands shaking a little.

"It's true," said John. He looked over at Sherlock as if for reassurance. "He's got two hearts."

"Toldja," the doctor said, spreading his arms. "You just met your very first alien. Congratulations!"

Dean closed his eyes. This story swap was going to be very interesting, it seemed.
