^ this is the song that would play during the fight ;)

Amber, Ronnie, and Emily stood outside the entrance to the Hufflepuff common room. Ronnie gripped a large bottle of muggle tequila, whilst Emily cradled a small flask filled with Firewhisky to her chest, as lovingly as if she were a protective mother.

Amber stood directly before the still life portrait of a fruit bowl, which depicted crisp red apples, a bunch of plump green grapes, a few dull looking oranges, and a speckled green pear.

Amber reached out her hand and started to scratch the pear on its right side. Straight away the girls were met with a spluttering sound, as the pear started chortling and fell down into the base of the wooden bowl. A passageway was revealed as soon as the pear had disappeared into it's bowl, and excitedly the girls followed the sound of music.

Upon reaching the large circular common room, the three girls were greeted by the sound of firecrackers, glass smashing, and roars of laughter. A hazy fog swirled above the common room, as people puffed out smoke like elderly dragons.

Amber could see Joel and Tommy taking sips of a suspicious looking substance from a Slytherin girl's crystal flask. She must have been in the year above, as Amber had never seen her before, yet she was taking quite the shine to Tommy. Giggling at every word he said, and deliberately holding onto his shoulder as she looked up at him through her sultry eyelashes. Not that Tommy minded at all. Sidney and Rowan were sat on the spacious cushions near the window, becoming quite engrossed with the yellow and black tassels that adorned the cushion corners. Countless others just stood conversing around the common room, as platters of food were replaced and anything broken cleared away by the few sober people that remained.

Small bubbles erupted from the corner of the common room, as an older Hufflepuff boy started  spluttering bubbles whenever he tried to talk, much to the amusement of his friends surrounding him. The fairy lights twinkled various shades of yellow, and cast the shadow of a moving badger around the room, which people competed to catch first. The Hufflepuffs had tried hard, and it had paid off. The loud buzz that encompassed the room proved that the Hufflepuffs knew how to throw a good party.

Amber, Emily, and Ronnie directed themselves to the drinks table that appeared to be groaning from the amount of liquor placed on it's back. They each grabbed a yellow and black striped cup, and Ronnie poured a generous amount of liquor into each of them. Amber glanced over her shoulder and saw a small pitcher of crimson cranberry juice, which she quickly grabbed and then added to each of the cups. They all lifted their cups and took a long drink, as though no amount of liquid could quench their insatiable thirst.

'Heyyyyyyy girls!!!' A slurred and highly excited voice belted out from beside Emily.

They all turned to see Blaire Andrews, a highly irritating and seldom sweet sixth year Ravenclaw. She was the type of girl that everybody liked served in small and widely spaced doses, predominantly because she often had the uncontrollable need to brag about all the fantastical achievements she already had under her belt. Not to mention she viewed everything as a competition, and I mean everything. Blaire was a living example of why Amber discredited the house stereotypes completely, as Blaire displayed many Slytherin associated characteristics, yet she was sorted into Ravenclaw.

Blaire grabbed Emily by the arm and pulled her into a tight embrace, her curly hair threatening to suffocate Emily's quickly forming frown. Ronnie rolled her eyes, as she scanned the common room for any potential 'friends' for the night. She would never go further than talking, and anyway she already had her eye on a certain Gryffindor sixth year, who was still slumped on the cushions with Sidney.
