Mahabharat Viraat Agyaatvaas vs Kunthala disguise

Some points wrong?

Baahubali ordered by his mother to go for digvijay - wrong term actually for going around the kingdom. Add to that he goes to other kingdoms also but does not conquer them so how can it be digvijay? Digvijay mean winning the land in all directions. He goes not travel as the prince but almost like a commoner.

Theme 1

There comes the story of Pandavas hiding for one year after losing the game of dice. They go to Viraat kingdom and stay there but difference is he is not forced he is forcing himself with only one reason to win the girl. Almost like Arjuna in Subhadraharan posing as a pilgrim. And in Agyaatwaas Arjun dresses as a female/ eunuch. Here Baahu acts as a mentally retarded. So more or less another similarity. Attack on Viraat to steal cows was to fluch Pandavas, attack on Devasena or orders to capture her was to flush Baahu out. Loyalty and filial obediance vs LOVE.

The theme commonality is - In Mahabharat when the commander of the army of Viraat is killed the Kauravas assume it was Bhim only who could do it. Similarly Bhalla wants to get Baahu out and become king. He knows that Baahubali is in love and uses that to get him into logger heads with Raajmaata Sivagami. Love over rules every other emotion even responsibility.

Theme 2

Pandavas stay in hiding for a year in Viraat and help the king twice in the Mahabharat. The same way twice Kunthala is helped by Baahubali and Kattappa. The robbers attacking Devasena is first help by Baahu and Kattappa similar to Pandavas helping the Viraat King. Pindaari attack repelling is the second. Cow robbery is the aim in Mahabharat. Here we have Kunthala cows helping and highlighted.

A Mahabharat theme turned around but still having a presence and impact on the overall Kunthala and Baahubali. In Mahabharat Kauravas attack to bring the Pandavas out and comes with strategy for doing it. Cow robbery is the strategy in Mahabharat here cows are used by Baahu and Kattappa to defend the Kunthala kingdom. So themes are comparable in cows as important and used.

Theme 3

The cowardly prince of Viraat who boasts and goes against Kauravas in Mahabharat and Kumara Verma of Kunthala who is the same in character is the third similarity to Mahabharat. The hunt with archery and secret help of Kumara Verma by Baahu remind of Arjuna helping Prince of Viraat take on the Kaurava army. Giving him the credit on all occasions is similar to how Prince of Viraat claimed he defeated Kauravas himself. It can also seem like the Shikhandi scenario almost. But overall Arjuna stays in hiding and lets the prince take credit and hang around as hero.

There is a minor theme in the Pindaari attack help. When Baahu fires arrows which touch the earrings of Devasena. Arjuna in the cow robbery against Kaurava army sends two arrows near Drona and Bheeshma's ears and one near legs. The interpretation is he was paying respect and asking how they are. Same theme different perspective in Baahubali.

Theme 4

The death of Kumara Varma in the hands of Bhalla and his father Pingala reminds of how Madra King killing Viraat Prince in an unfair fight, but Prince fights valiantly and dies for the Pandavas.  Virat King killed by Drona in Kurukshetra  we can see the same in how the final battle sees king killed by Bhalla almost towards the end of the rebellion organized by Mahendra, which is like in 14th day of Mahabharat.

There also aim was to capture Yudhishtir here it was to capture Devasena and Bhalla knew Mahendra will follow or will be demoralized. Almost same as Duryodhana knowing capture Yudhishtir the war is over.

Theme 5

Viraat and hiding of Pandavas is not pivotal except for not getting identified and being forced to another 12 years in forest. But here Kunthala and Devasena made the key aspect or pivot for the story to change relation and equation of Raajmaata Sivagami and add to it Raajmata thinking Baahu is no longer straight or loyal to her.So Raja Mouli has comparison events or themes similar to Mahabhara but changed the focus and importance

Add to it the bulls and using bulls reminds of stealing of cows by Trigarth and Duryodhana from Viraat to flush out the Pandavas. Same as the strategy and orders to capture Devasena to flush out Baahubali. Cows and tactic to flush and trap is the theme in Mahabharat and Baahubali uses cows in Kunthala and Devasena to flush Baahu out against Raajmaata.
