She entered the pod and looked around. The controls were foreign, so once again she had to guess. There were blue, green, and white buttons so Amy pushed a white one.The ship powered up and instead of pushing another button to move, a microphone appeared. Amy sat and did nothing.
A speaker automatically turned on and said, "State your destination,"
Amy leaned closer to the Mic and said, "Go to the Aurora Crysalis."
"We will depart in twenty seconds,"said the speaker counting down accordingly.
Amy felt relaxed that in a few seconds, she would be home, safe and sound. She departed but due to the fact that these pods were rarely used, it was low on gas and moved excruciatingly slow. Amy looked around and saw her dad's ship. She could tell he was in "mission impossible" mode because in the radio of the pod, there wasn't any heat signatures coming off the ship. This was a good way for the Leviathans to sneak up on Asps since their only sense of vision was through heat. Amy felt extremely happy that her dad came for her and told the ship to cancel the journey, but this all changed when her dad started shooting at her. Amy started to panic. Why was he shooting her? Amy spoke to the mic again and quickly connected to the communicating systems of her dad's ship and said, "Dad! Stop, it's mr. Amy." Her dad almost immediately stopped firing.
"Amy! I am so sorry. I thought you were one of the Asps." Mr. Ray said. "Your mother called in and said you disappeared. I-I th thought you were dead," Mr. Ray answered, full of emotions.
"I know, but I'm here. I'm sorry I ran away. I couldn't bear being away from you for another year," Amy said guilty. "That's besides the point, there are prisoners in the Asp' s ship."
"Are you sure those were prisoners and not slaves?" asked Mr. Ray.
"I'm sure," Amy responded confidently.
"Very well," Mr. Ray answered as he shut off the communication and opened the entrance of the ship. He called Amy again to let her open the doors to the pod. Amy followed the instructions and she leaped, like a frog from the pod to the ship.
The ship slowly began moving towards the Mortmer. Amy was quite hesitant telling her dad she knew where the prisoners were because she didn't ever want to go back to such a place. Slowly, they both got off the ship and Amy lead her dad through the corridors and to the cells. Amy saw the prisoners, they were as weak as ever. They had to hurry if they wanted the prisoners to survive.
Mr. Ray blasted the bars of the cells with his fiery breath. The bars didn't even repair, they were simply obliterated. Slowly, Mr. Ray carried both of the prisoners on his back easuly, since they were extremely light due to the lack of food and other necessities. Both started walking back to the ship, steadily and cautiously, but the prisoners were grunting because if the pain of their bruises and cuts from the Asperians. They were vulnerable at this state. They both were nearing the ship and safety, but the noise of the prisoners caught the attention of an Asperian soldier. Almost immediately an alarm went off, and they were being chased. Dozens of soldiers came out of nowhere and were firing relentlessly.
Both hurried toward the ship, trying to dodge bullets. Luckily Leviathans had strong kind legs designed for running, compared to the slow slither of the Asps. They hurriedlyvgot into Mr. Ray's ship and he started go wild, pressing buttons and pulling levers. The ship powered and without wasting time, flew off. Amy was relieved that all the shenanigans were ovet. She went to lay against the wall when she heard metal noises. It was like a hammer pounding away at the ship. It was then Amy realized, they were right in the middle of over a thousand bullets.
