"El Tao, Tao~" (Y/N) sang as she mopped the kitchen, as per usual for a Mexican during the weekend. She hummed the rest as she mixed the arroz around in the pan.
(Y/N) suddenly stopped as she heard a sound in the backroom. Hoseok wouldn't be home until later, so what could that sound have been?
Feeling the Mexican superstition that had been almost beaten into her during her child rise up, she turned the flame to a lower setting and turned off her music.
"En el nombre de padre, el hijo, el espiritu santo," She muttered. "If this house is haunted, I'm going to cry." She looked at her surroundings. Holding tightly onto the mop ready to swing at anything that moved or made a noise.
Suddenly (Y/N) heard a noise come from the sala. "Salté demonio." She yelled in the direction of the noise. Hearing rattling noises she quickly ninja rolled under the table and grabbed the mop that she dropped.
Hearing a door open. She jumped out from under the table and attacked the "spirit" with her mop. "OUCH HEY STOP HITTING ME!!" Her boyfriend Hoseok yelled. She stopped mid hit.
She jumped into his arms. "Good you're home! Quick grab some eggs, white sage, glass of water, salt, a cross, and the holy water I keep in my drawer." He looked at her as if she were crazy.
(Y/N) just sent him off. She was having sudden flashbacks of the tale of el cucuy y la llorona. Knowing that they were just folktales told by her mother. She couldn't shake the feeling of something in her house.
Finally hoseok came back with all the things she asked for. Looking at her confused. "What are all these for?" (Y/N) looked at him and gestured for him to come closer. She told him the story of el cucuy, y la llorona. She also told him what had happened while he was out.
Hoseok had the chills. He couldn't help but look around his surroundings too. (Y/N) had told him the story in detail that it scared him. (Y/N) ran to the stove and turned it off.
She walked towards hoseok and handed him the sage. "Quick hold this and let me burn it. Then we can use the smoke and spread it around the house in circular motion." Hoseok just nodded his head. That's what (Y/N) just needed to start burning the sage.
After doing that they spread the smoke in a circular motion. Then they both grabbed the salt and they put it in every corner of the house. Hoseok asked (Y/N) what the egg, water and cross were for.
"That's for later tonight. Now keep hold of this holy water okay?" Hoseok responded with a small 'okay'. (Y/N) knew that if it were la llorona or el cucuy, all the things they did wouldn't get rid of them. But she did them just in case of other spirits.
(Later that night)
It was time for them to go to bed. (Y/N) told Hoseok to lay on the bed and go to sleep. He was confused but decided to just do as told. Once (Y/N) was sure that he was asleep she rubbed the egg on his body in a cross motion.
She did this to get rid of el mal de ojo. After she cracked the egg and put the yolk in a cup of water. (Y/N) then put a cross over the cup and set the cup under the bed where Hoseok was sleeping.
She felt content but she remembered that she had to rearrange the mirrors in the room. Doing so she was cautious not to wake Hoseok up.
(The next day)
This time (Y/N) went through the same process but Hoseok did it. He did the steps she had told him to do and once he was finished he sighed. "Hope this works." He turned off the lights and went to sleep.
~
Having done these things (Y/N) and Hoseok never heard noise in the house after that. The both of them continued to live their happy lives as a couple.
