"So, we've almost made it through the first week of senior year." You let out a sigh as you cuddled with Justin on the couch in the living room. Tomorrow was Friday and you honestly could not wait to sleep in on Saturday. You were seriously wondering how you were gonna make it through the rest of the year.

"We should be proud of ourselves." Justin laughed, scrolling through the TV channels.

"Especially since school started so soon..."

"Have you talked to his mom since?" Justin asked, opting for a random movie marathon before facing you, letting you know you had his full attention.

"I can't... she doesn't know I let Jeff leave on that beer run, thinking and believing that he was sober enough to drive." You sighed.

Justin tried to say comforting words before you continued, "You know I couldn't even move my own car? I gave it to some freshie to move? I wasn't even sober enough, how could I let myself think that he was sober enough?"

"Babe, you can't blame yourself. Think about it, you know Jeff. Do you really think he would've driven if he knew he was drunk?" Justin pointed out and damn he had a good point. You knew Jeff. He wouldn't risk putting other people in danger like that just for some dumb beer run.

There has to be something more. You knew there was more to this than meets the eye.
