Chapter 4

Hazel POV

Afterwards, we all agreed to stay in touch with each other by Facebook, Skype and other social networks like that. I got home quickly. My house is big, and of a pale yellow colour on the outside. Our door is wooden and the walls inside my house are sky blue. The tiles on the floor, metal green. I raced towards my bedroom and my computer, opening it in light speed when I got to it. I opened Facebook and Kik. On Facebook, I began chatting with Halliot and Allina. On Kik, I started chatting with Brielle.

My conversation with Allina:

Allina: Don’t you think Halliot is overreacting a bit? Sheesh, I was just trying to help! Besides, what good’s the police gonna do anyways!

Me: yh, I think she was overreacting a bit, but come on give her a break she lost her sis!

Allina:  Yeah but still… I think all of us together would’ve had a chance of actually getting to the bottom of this.

Me: kk but try to B compassionate, her sisters been kidnapped! Just act like ur fine with it.

Allina: Okay, I’ll try.

Me: thx.

My conversation with Halliot (while I was talking to Allina):

Me: hey halliot. u doing alright?

Halliot: Yeah, sorry for my little outbreak. I really hope Ivy’s doing well… and that the police will find her soon.

Me: yh, bout that… i think we couldve done a good job finding her aswell!

Halliot: It’s not a simple game Hazel! This is my SISTER we’re talking about!!!

Me: im sorry…

-Halliot stopped chatting with me for a while… Then she came back-

Halliot: Omg you’re chatting with Allina??!!! How could you?!! You know how mad I’m at her!!!!!!!!!

Oh shoot…

I’d forgotten she could hack…

Me: am i not aloud to??

Halliot: Well, do what you want, but I’m not glad you’re making this choice right now. And start typing normally!!!!!!

Halliot left the conversation.

I sighed and closed my eyes. This was complicated for all of us.

And, it’s not my fault I type like that.

Neither is the fact that I’m dyslexic…

Jaxon POV

I pedalled home turning back to look at Halliot every now and then. I didn’t help much. Just freaked them out by jumping out of the bushes and acting like a total doofus.  I want to help. The police seem far to chillaxed. I mean these little girls lives could be at stake here! I mean I guess they know that the kidnapper’s bald…. There are thousands of bald dudes in this part of the city! I mean they know which direction he went but I didn’t even get the licence plate number or the colour of the car! It would of been smart of me to actually think for once, but like my Dad says I don’t even have half a brain when it comes to common sense.

I pedal around the corner and arrive at our house at the end of the street. I keep thinking about the look on Halliot’s face and want to be able to do something and make her happy again. I want to be able to do something impressive. At school I’m just the kid who has an old bike and likes to sing in the choir. Yeah… I sing in the choir…. I like music ok?
