Your P.O.V.
Ever since I became friends with Kou, Minato avoided me. We hardly said anything to each other. It broke my heart, but how could I make things better? I tried to make a nice dinner, but he came home late. I tried to talk to him, but he gave me the silent treatment. We've been best friends since we were babies, now..it's like we don't know each other at all. I sighed and wiped my tears away and smiled sadly. "I'll do great today. I know I will." I encouraged myself. I drank some water and ran out the door.

I continued to run until I spotted Lady Tsunade all by herself. "(Y/N)! Glad you made it. Have you seen the rest of the squad?" she asked. "Good morning Lady Tsunade. I haven't seen them yet, but I'm sure they'll come soon. Lady Tsunade, do you really think I'm ready?" I asked with hope gleaming in my eyes. Tsunade smiled down at me and placed a hand on my shoulder. "You'll make a great Chunin. I believe that you can become this village's first female Hokage." Lady Tsunade stated proudly. My heart fluttered and I bowed. "Thank you, sensei. I won't let you down."

Suddenly, there was a loud thud behind us. I turned around to see Tadashi on the ground. Keiko stood above him and smirked. "Didn't see me coming, did you?" she taunted. Tadashi growled and tripped her. "Didn't expect that, did you?" he retorted, making Keiko blush in embarrassment. Tsunade shook her head and sighed. "Alright, today is the big day, so I'll treat you three out to a nice breakfast. Today, you'll be taking the written exam and two of you have to pass so the team can move forward." Tsunade informed us. Keiko and I smiled at each other.

We would definitely pass for sure. These past few weeks, all we did was study from a Chunin book. Tadashi, on the other hand, trained everyday and swore he was ready to fight anyone. Tsunade led us to Ichiraku and ordered us some food. I bowed and thanked her. We finished and started to make our way to the room. I was nervous as I seen all those Genin that were determined to be Chunin. I was the youngest one there. Keiko put her hand on my shoulder and smiled. "You'll do great. Tadashi and I will protect you. Don't be scared, look intimidating." she encouraged me. Tadashi stared at all the other Genin with a stoic look. I'm surprised he hasn't started laughing yet.

I'll admit, I was afraid, but I had to appear tough. The girls aren't as intimidating as I am. I put on a stoic face to scare the other Genin. (Y/N) tried to look mean, but her facial features wouldn't let her. She looked so innocent and timid. Keiko was scared, but tried not to show it. Suddenly, (Y/N) was shoved to the ground by girls that were from a different village. "Hm. You're determined to be A Chunin!? Please. You won't last a second against any of us in this room. Go home and play with your dolls." the girl on top of her sneered.

Keiko grabbed a handful of that girl's hair and threw her off of (Y/N). "You're lucky, she doesn't want to fight and get in trouble, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to kick your guts out!" Keiko threatened. The girls shivered in fear and started to walk to the other side of the room. (Y/N) got up and smiled at Keiko. "Thanks Keiko." she sheepishly said. Keiko smiled back and shook her head. "Don't be scared to fight back. They won't suspend you from taking the Exams." she informed her.

"Did you hear about (Y/N)-senpai? She's taking the Chunin Exams already! Isn't that amazing?" the boys said. They all had a crush on her. While they spoke about her, I started to wonder. I know she's smart, fast, and strong, but could she really become a Chunin? Someone slapped my back. "Hey Minato, how do you feel about your girlfriend becoming a Chunin?" one of the guys sneered. I shook my head. "I didn't know Minato had a girlfriend." Kushina said. Everyone turned to look at her.

All the guys started to nervously watch her movements. She's been fighting back lately. Her focus was all on me. I looked away. "She's not my girlfriend and she isn't going to be a Chunin unless she passes all of the tests. We'll all have to wait and see what happens." I answered. Kushina's eyes sparkled with hope and she left without saying another word. I sighed heavily and put my face in my hands. I should talk to (Y/N), but I'm just so stubborn. I don't want to apologize.

I watched the evening sun slowly set. I wondered if she passed today's exam. She's smart, but that's a Chunin test. Hopefully she did. I didn't even get a chance to say good luck to her this morning. I walked back home and tried to think of a way to apologize properly. She doesn't really care for flowers or sweets as much as she used to. I honestly don't know what to do. I walked pass the shops until something caught my eye. It was a kunai.

I held it in my hands and I looked at it from every angle. It was perfect for someone so agile like (Y/N). It beats normal kunai in speed. I purchased it and wrapped it up with newspaper. I was excited to show her, so I sprinted home. As soon as I walked through the door, I seen her laying on the couch. She was asleep. I gently shook her until she groaned and opened her eyes. "Minato?" she asked. "I heard you passed today, so here's a gift for you. Congratulations." I quickly stated and held it in her hands.

She sat up and gave me a hug. "You didn't have to, but thank you." she said. She looked at it and smiled brightly. "It's beautiful. Thank you!" she exclaimed. Then she started to tell me about the test and how it was challenging. She was excited, I couldn't tell her to go back to sleep. For a moment, nothing really mattered. It was moments like these that I missed the most.
