Chapter 8: You Never Walk Alone (Part 2)

I saw the van pull up, but I stayed in the alley debating ongoing up to them. I wish I could just be normal, but this had to change everything. 

I sighed and then walked up to the door of the dorm but stopped, my hand hovering over the doorknob. The door turned before I could touch it. I froze as I saw Jimin look up at me with tears in his eyes. It stained his face with tear tracks and a little blush on his nose.

He said my name, probably making everyone else inside run to the door. I was going to run away when I saw them running down the hallway. But before I could run, someone caught my hand, making me stop in place. 

I turned to see Namjoon holding my hand and looked worried. I was going to say something, but Jimin beat me to it. "Hyung, come inside. We all need to have a talk, or do you want someone to see you? You still have most of your metal showing." 

I look down, remembering that my true self was showing and nodded, listening to him. We walked in, everyone staring at me. The livingroom is where we gathered. I sat down on a cushion in the middle of the couch. I felt foreign in this home now. As though I don't belong here anymore.

Jimin was the one to sit next to me while the others either sat on the floor in front of me or on the armchairs on the sides. Somehow it was like Jungkook read my mind when it seemed awkward. He coughed, kinda breaking the silence, making everyone look at him, then at me. I sighed before looking at each one of them before speaking.

"I know ya'll might be mad at me for lying about what I really am. I would like to say that I will leave the group so that the six of you can live a normal life without fear. But I just wanted to say that I am happy with all the memories and care you have given me. So please be happy without me." I stood up before bowing while tears were coming down my face. 

I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist as someone hugged me. Jimin was crying while clinging to me. I smiled and patted his head. What surprised me was what the others did. As soon as I stood, they did so too.

It was just one after the other Namjoon, Jungkook, Hoseok, Taehyung, and then Yoongi. They were crying while they hugged me, forming a group hug. We stood like that for a few minutes before they all sat back down, including me.

"Look hyung we never wanted you to leave us. We aren't frightened of you. We were surprised the first time, but never feared you. Just now we know you aren't really human." Taehyung said as he looked at me, smiling with his box smile. I guess that was when I knew even though I was not of this world, I have finally found the people I can call my family. I will never walk alone from now on with my best friends and brothers.
