THE LITTLE GIRL WAS finally awake and able to tell us that her name was Megan. Everyone surrounded her, but I sat on the other side of the room. I couldn't stop thinking about what had just happened.
She'll be back. I slumped against the wall. She promised. She said that she'll find me again.
     "Lynn." Ben trailed.
I turned to face him, "I shouldn't have ran."
He shook his head, "Then Vosch would have all three of you. You did what you had to."
"I could've brought a few soldiers down." I told him, "I could've given Ringer and Cup time to get away, but I left them."
"It's not your fault." he pulled me into his arms.
I didn't cry. Mostly because I didn't have anymore tears. I felt numb.
Evan shot up from where he sat, "Grace is coming." he muttered.
I watched as Cassie tried to lift him onto a couch. Amazing Grace? Grace at dinner before you eat? Or is Grace actually a person? My question was answered by someone screaming in the room next door. Ben had to hold Cassie back.
"What the hell?" I loaded my gun.
A woman appeared in the doorway.
     "Hello Evan." she smiled.
"Grace." he didn't look away from her.
Why would he? She looked like some sort of model. A deadly ass model. I reminded myself. She's a silencer.
"You're right." she looked at me.
My eyes widened. She could read minds? Can all silencers do that? I tried to clear mine so she couldn't use anything against me.
"You're Grace." Cassie stated, "Grace is a person."
Her smile widened until it looked painful, "Aren't you all so smart."
My gun was cold as I held it behind my back. You should've chosen a body that wouldn't be so easy to take down. I hoped she would hear it. I'll shoot if you try anything.
"You think I'm so defenseless?" she almost looked offended, "Let's see if your next door neighbors think the same."
"Sam." Cassie body slammed Grace. They went out into the hallway where Cassie was thrown against the door. Her nose was covered in blood.
I started shooting. At this point I didn't care who I hit. Grace threw me to the other side of the hallway. My head slammed against a metal doorknob.
I groaned. I could feel blood running down the back of my neck. I was wrong.
The sound of the helicopter was back. Grace suddenly gave up the fight and retreated to a room across the hall.
"Will they ever give up?" I shouted.
"Obviously not." Dumbo helped me up.
Run. Everything was blurry, but I managed to make it down the stairs without falling.
Cassie was carrying Megan, Nugget refused to let anyone help him, Zombie was struggling to carry Poundcake, Evan stayed to make sure Grace didn't escape, and I was relying mainly on Dumbo. Ben dropped Poundcake in the lobby, but the rest of us forced him to leave him.
"Come on." I dragged Ben after us.
"I can't leave him!" Ben tried to break free.
I wouldn't let go, "You have to. I'm not going to lose you too."
We were finally far enough from the hotel to not be killed by whoever was after us.
Suddenly Nugget started hauling ass back to the hotel. I tackled him about halfway.
"What the hell are you doing?" I asked.
"The bomb!" he shouted, "Zombie gave it to me! I dropped it!"
I threw myself over him as the building exploded in a cloud of neon green. Looks like someone found it.
A piece of wood hit the wound on the back of my head, knocking me out.

I woke up in Ben's arms. He held on to me as if he were afraid that he'd drop me like Poundcake.
"She's awake." Cassie pointed out, "You can put her down now. She can walk."
Ben shook his head, "She's still hurt."
Cassie scoffed, but decided not to say anything else.
What the hell is her problem. I shot a glare in her direction.

Ben put me down against a tree before sitting next to me. He kept glancing at my hip, which was hurting more than usual.
"Do you think we'll ever be safe?" I asked.
He shook his head, "No, but if something happens we'll all be together"
I nodded even though I knew that was bullshit. Teacup and Ringer wouldn't be here. Because they're dead. The others killed them just like they killed everyone else on this damn planet.
Something was moving just beyond what I could see. That probably wasn't too hard to do though. Everything was still blurry.
I could hear Cassie load her gun, but then I heard her throw it to the ground.
"You came back." her voice cracked.
    "I'm hurt." a man responded.
Evan. Who else would Cassie drop her gun for? Sure as hell not me. He didn't die.
"I'll come to you." she continued.
"Grace had a house." he told her as she brought him over to us, "We can stay there now that she's gone."
Great. Now we're going to go live in an alien's house. I've been trying to stay away from the others, thank you very much. I could feel Ben pull me closer. I rested my head against his shoulder.
Not like it actually matters anymore.
