My Sweet Pirate

Chapter 7

June boarded Aldrich's boat and hugged me. "I'm so glad your okay, princess." She said as some of the guards brought my stuff on the ship. "Now, I'm coming with you on your adventure. You may give uo your life as a princess, but not with out me."

"No, you stay." I said handing her my crown. "I'll be back for this. Watch it and the kingdom for me."

She slowly but surely nodded sadly. I gave a slight smile. "I promise not to let you down princess." She said giving me one last hug and leaving.

"So, Aldrich, where are we going first?" I asked as he smiled looking at me.

"Wherever the stars and the sea take us my dear Princess." He said kissing my forehead. "All I know, is you'll be with me."

"And I'll be glad to be with you." I said hugging him. When the guards finished we left port and I waved bye to June from the end of the ship. "I'm going to miss her."

"I know you will." He said calmly. Several days after we left, I walk out of our room. I had been reading one of his books. The sun was setting and the stars would be out soon. He was looking at something intensely.

"Aldrich, what's wrong?" I asked worried. He looked back at me before looking at the crew member that was steering the ship. The member nodded and the ship started turning. Once it was sideways I noticed the ship from Nathaniel's kingdom. Aldrich put me behind him.

"Prepare thee cannons, get ready to fight! We will not flee!" He yelled making everybody rowdy. They prepared the cannons and aimed them at the ship. After firing men from that ship boarded, and everyone broke out into sword fights. Nathaniel boarded, and turned towards me and Aldrich. He pulled a gun out and started walking towards us. Aldrich pulled out his sword.

"Hand her over, or I'll kill you." Nathaniel said as Aldrich cut his wrist, making him drop the gun.

"I'm sorry, what was that? I was to busy not caring about you." He said as Nathaniel laughed. Someone approached us from behind, so I took my small knife out and stabbed his leg. He fell to the ground gripping his leg. Nathaniel's ship sunk and Aldrich laughed victoriously. The crew members brought all of his men and Nathaniel himself to the cells below.

Aldrich looked at me, moving some hair behind my ear. "Thank you." I said smiling. He kissed me passionately, and I kissed back. The stars were out and he grabbed my hand. We went to our bedroom. After we were done, I laid facing the window. Aldrich wrapped his arms around me. "Goodnight."

"Goodnight, Avelina." He said kissing my cheek. I closed my eyes before drifting to sleep. When I woke up, I was facing Aldrich's bare chest. "Awake?"

I had cuddled into him, so I slowly moved my head just enough to see him. "Maybe." I answered sarcastically and he laughed. He pet my hair a little before getting up I too decided to get up and we both got dressed. Aldrich went into the town that we had oulled into the port of.

"Avelina, will you bring the prisoners their food?" The cook asked and I nodded, grabbing all of the bowls. The last one was Nathaniel. I gave him his food, but when I left he grabbed me. Falling to the floor he grabbed me again, pulling me against the bars. Aldrich started coming down the stairs.

"My dear princess Avelina, you're all I want to eat." He said as Aldrich pointed his sword at him. Nathaniel let me go and I quickly hugged Aldrich.

"The only time you'll ever get her is in your dreams." He said before we left. "I need to go get the rest of the supplies, come with me."

"Okay." I said before he picked me up piggy back style. I blushed and he laughed. While he was carrying me through town we passed by a jewelry store with the most beautiful necklace. I stared at it, wanting to ask for it, but I couldn't. He looked at me then at the necklace.

After putting me down he walked into the store, and when he came back out. The necklace was in his hands. "Here princess. You deserve only the best." He said putting it on me.

"But..." I said before he kissed me. My face turned bright red.

"Just accept it." He said as I nodded. After he picked me back up, I put my hand on it. I will always treasure this necklace. I put my head down on his shoulder.

"Thank you, Aldrich." I said as we arrived at a supermarket. He bought a barrel filled with that slop they feed prisoners. "So, what are you going to do to Nathaniel?"

He became angry. "Sell him to the same kingdom I was originally going to sell you too. He deserves it." He said balling his fist. I looked at him sadly. "After all he did to you... you still have bruises."

I looked at the ground. "Yeah." I said bumping into someone. I fell to the ground, and Aldrich got pushed by a large crowd. "Aldrich!"

"Avelina! Find your way to the dock!" He yelled as I got back up. I looked around at the large crowd that started pushing me in the other direction.
