"Hey Boo, check it out." Philip holds up his cell phone to my face. "Everyone in class V and class W are showing up tonight. Word must have spread...about your fight with Ryder, not about the party."
"There isn't going to be a fight at this party Phillip, you better not try and start something." Flay jumped into the conversation from his kitchen. He had just finished laying out all the food on the table and dimmed all the lights. The fog machines were going and Halloween decorations littered the house as if it was haunted. Philip was a little disturbed by the arms dangling from the ceiling in the kitchen so he stayed clear of it and tonight was perfect. In my mind, I was preparing to finally ask out Valentina, and the mood on the back porch was perfect. A pool surrounded by torches under a full moon, my mind could go on for hours.
Crash! I looked up and noticed I was on the floor and my head pounding with pain.
"Oh Boo...watch out. The glass door leading to the back porch, it is shut and I just cleaned the glass." Flay called out from the kitchen trying not to laugh.
"Thanks for the heads up, Jerk." I say rubbing my forehead as the pain slowly fades into nothing.
"That's what are friends for." He said finally laughing at the situation. "That crash was almost as bad, as the poor girl you trampled over yesterday."
I almost forgot that had happened and a nervous smile grew into face.
Philip shook his head, "Both of you, are idiots."
"But we are your idiots King." Flay slurs jokingly.
"Don't call me that, I do not accept that nickname!" I watched as Philip pops from around the corner peering into the kitchen.
"You know the rules no one chooses their nicknames in class V." Flay said taunting Philip, he kept at it for a good minute before the doorbell rang. "Hey Roger, mind letting them into the house? I have to finish cooking."
I sighed and walked over to the door. Thoughts flooded my head about who it could be. I didn't think twice before opening the door to see if Valentina was already here. It would be much easier to ask her out without anyone here to witness. Furthermore, I was also ready to flee if it was Ryder, my feet were positioned to run through the house, to my emergency escape route if necessary. I quickly opened the door to ready to meet my fate either way, but before I could turn to dash away my eyes met the most disturbing thing I have ever seen. It was Brooklyn Marks, I stared at her and she gave me the meanest look back. The awkward stare off lasted a few seconds before I decided my eyes couldn't take any more and I slammed the door shut. "No one's here Flay. It must have been your imagination."
The door flung open and the class president marched into the house. "I'm right here!" She announced.
"You can't just march into someone's home like that." I yelled out of spite.
"Well I just did, I'm here to make sure nothing illegal or immoral taints my fellow students" She huffed and puffed placing her hand on her popped hip looking at me directly. She was wearing a red and black corset with a black skirt and striped stockings. She looked quite cute for once, but in the end, that didn't matter.
"Well aren't you daring tonight? Who's the lucky victim?" I said looking for ways to upset her.
She blushed and turned to the side, clinging on to her mini skirt and pulling it down a little. "I don't have to answer to you, Ghost."
"It's Boo."
"No one cares." The witch brushed me off with a wave of her hand and walked into the living room where Philip was messing with the stereo, trying to get it to work.
