A light, a bright, blinding light shines at me. The world reveals itself to me slowly. As my eyes focused, I slowly realized that I was staring at the ceiling. Turning my head slowly I could feel every nerve ending in my body screaming in pain. What was going on? Where am I? What happened to me? The pain was blocked by the numbness in my muscles. Starting to pay more attention to my surroundings I realized that I was in the nurse's office. Still at school, good. My eyes closed once more. I was tired.

Tired.

I could hear a sound in the darkness. A dripping sound almost like water. Was I dreaming? Why is it completely dark? Was someone there? I could feel the presence of something massive in front of me. Fear over took my body as my imagination began to run wild.

"Who's there?" I yelled out.

From the darkness, it spoke, the voice that sounded so familiar yet so distant. "Only one here besides you, it's me." The voice was soft and soothing, but that didn't change the fact that I was afraid. She spoke out again, "Stop wondering around in the dark and look at me." I stopped moving, just as she asked, and looked towards the direction the voice was coming from.

"W-hat is going on?" I softly whispered afraid and spooked.

"You are asleep. I am Nadara, a shadow from the Grey. Your shadow to be precise." She spoke softly as a figure could be made out in the darkness. I squint my eyes so I could see but the only aid I received was time. In time, the dark figure of a women could be seen siting on something. I turned towards her and simply stated.

"Mine, shadow, you say? What does that mean?"

The girl in the darkness laughed and her figure vanished from sight.

"No wonder why you've caught the attentions of those other nine humans. You are adorably, well..." I quickly turned around as I heard the rattling of chains behind me. "So, perceptive, I'm glad I have someone like you chained to me." I felt a soft, warm feeling, which relaxed my tense body on contact. The dark figure's arms wrapped around me as I quickly turn to look at it. She laughed as I again saw nothing. The girl, Nadara, was holding me, touching me, yet I could not see her.

"W-Why..." She wouldn't let me finish speaking. Before she placed a finger on my lip.

"Don't say anything more, just listen and in time you will understand." The longer I stared into the darkness the more I began to make shapes out of the shadows. A face, or at least I think so. "Okay, I am Nadara, a shadow. You are my other Roger Bell. I'm not interested in the other side but I will grant you the ability to take back what you've lost. Now, she is waiting on the other side." I felt her forehead touch mine as my eyes closed slowly.

"Ask and I will aid you."

As I looked around, my eyes slowly focused on the ceiling above. Where was I, oh yeah, the nurse's office. I was in the bed which laid low to the ground, surround by a blue curtain. I could hear someone opening the door and walking in. Who it was had no effect on me till I heard the conversation from beyond the curtains which surrounded my bed.

I heard Logan's voice, "Alicia is that you? Do you know where Roger is I need to tell him something."

She responded to him simply stating, "I haven't seen him but are you alright? You don't look so good."

"I'm fine, if you see Roger tell him to find me." Logan said, sounding slightly desperate.

"Is everything ok?" She asked concerned.
