Previously: Mark and I looked at each other then at Bonnie and Chica. How were we going to get past them without getting hurt and get to that back room on the power we had left?
I grabbed the plans and looked at those wonderful brown eyes that made my heart soar. "We can do this. There has to be a way." I looked again to Bonnie and went with my gut. I walked to the door in hopes that my original thought was accurate. I looked back and nodded.
"Y/N! Have you lost your MIND?!?" Mark reached for me to stop then stopped. "I don't like this just so you know." He knew exactly what I was thinking and he shook his head heading to the door Chica was at, getting ready to open the door at the same time as I did.
I took a deep breath as I closed my eyes and opened the door. I heard Mark do the same and as soon as I opened my eyes Bonnie was standing right there. He reached for me and I did my best to stay calm. He grabbed my hand and pulled me away walking down the hall. I looked at him thinking to myself that may be I had the right idea, that's when I got Bonnie let go of my hand and I blacked out.
-Time Skip brought to you by unconsciousness-
My eyes flickered open and were unfocused. I didn't know where I was but my head was pounding like I had a massive hangover. I tried to bring my hand to my head, but I couldn't move it as easily as I normally could. I felt sharp pains through out my body like laying on a bed of nails, but I was in a sitting position. I felt blood dripping down around me, or was it from me? I tried to adjust my body to try and get a bit more comfortable, but no luck there... My eyes finally began to focus and that's when I saw Mark.
"Mark?" He was laying face down on the ground in front of me with blood dripping down his forehead. "Oh my god... Where are we?" I looked around doing my best to stay calm, and that's when I realized that I was in one of the dangerous and infamous Spring Lock suits, but without the head peace on.
"What the hell?" Mark shook his head and began to get up. He wiped the blood off of his brow and looked around. His jaw dropped when he noticed me. "Oh... mother of god.... Don't move..." He carefully got up and began to look around for something.
I could feel the metal pieces of the suit wanting to snap shut with every breath that I took, with every beat of my heart. I didn't want to panic cause I didn't want it to puncture my flesh in any more than it had already. "Get me out... of this... thing."
"I'm trying to find the hand crank for that damn thing... where did they put it?" Mark frantically looked in the cardboard boxes that filled this room and that's when I saw a character that I hadn't seen in years.
"The Puppet.... behind you."
"Wha?" Mark turned around to see it pointing at him and then back at me. It turned toward me and tilted it's head. I knew that if I made any sudden movements I was toast, but seeing this animatronic almost float on thin air was enough to make me cringe. I closed my eyes and held my breath. I heard Mark's voice in a slight panic speaking to the floating being. "Puppet... I'm not the one that put her in there. You have to believe me."
I opened one eye to look at the animatronic as he floated to a box next to me and pointed to it and back to Mark. "I think he.. wants to help us..... See what is in... that box." I whispered doing my best not to take deep breaths.
He walked to it cautiously, keeping his eyes transfixed on the animatronic that stood before him. Mark began to dig inside the box and found the hand crank. He smiled and held it up like Link does when he opens a major treasure chest.
I carefully looked over at him and smiled. "Now is the time... to be the hero, Mark."
He walked over and looked over the Spring Lock suit trying to figure out how to use the tool to get me out. "I hate to say this, but you're gonna have to try and carefully stand up for me to get you out of there."
My whole body was wracked with enough pain just sitting there. I could barely hold myself in an upright position to be honest. I gulped at the thought but I nodded and looked straight ahead taking in a slow deep breath. I held it as I did my best to move in the suit as slow and carefully as I could. When I leaned forward, I felt the metal dig into my skin as more blood dripped down. I knew this wasn't good. Once I got to my knees I turned my head and let my breath out and took another one in. I felt the springs pressing into my flesh a bit more now and I knew that I didn't have much time left before they snapped shut on me.
Mark was standing nearby and it looked like he was sweating bullets, but he knew that this was something that he couldn't help me with. He didn't want to accidentally cause the suit to malfunction and kill me. "You can do it Y/N... Be strong... You just have a little more to go and I will get you out of there." He gulped hard.
I brought one knee forward to lean on it and that's when I looked down and heard a snap around my ankle. The pain was like nothing I had felt before, but I knew that I had to push through it. I bit my lip to try and distract myself, which didn't help much. I slowly and carefully stood up and that's when Mark came over to get me the hell out. He was doing his best to get me extracted in one piece so he went through each step as carefully and quickly as he could. As soon as he was able to, he took me out of that suit.
I remained as still as I could, but I noticed that I was shaking. The Puppet moved behind Mark and looked at me with his head tilted. I think that he was trying to ask me something, but I had no idea what it could be. Mark took off the torso portion of the suit. It felt like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders. Now it was time to take off the pants section and see how bad my ankle was. When he was able to get that off, I stood there for a few moments and that's when the overwhelming pain that was coursing through every fiber of my being finally caught up with me. Mark threw the spring lock suit across the room to get it as far away from me as possible when I collapsed to the ground falling on my hands and knees.
