- New York City, present day

"Aria? Are you okay?" asked Ethan, her college friend, "you weren't listening to what Mr. Robertson was saying."

"Huh? I'm fine. Well, maybe no. I did something terrible to my fiancée last night," she sighed, "I suddenly remember my ex-boyfriend when I had dinner with him. Even though it's been 2 years since I last met him."

"What did you do to him?"

"I cried in front of him," Aria buried her head on the palm of her hands, "he must have known the reason why."

"Well maybe you haven't got over your ex," Ethan started to make assumptions.

"Of course I got over him!" she yelled all of the sudden, "it's been such a long time."

"Then maybe you don't love your fiancée as much as you loved your ex."

Aria snorted, "Are you kidding? Jesus, Ethan, you're not helping."

Ethan laughed, "I wasn't trying to be helpful. Oh, gotta go Aria, Samantha's here, bye."

It has been 2 years since she moved to New York with Ren. He proposed her last month and she accepted it. Ren sometimes called Chris to ask how he's doing and recently, he just found out that Chris has regained his memories. Ren couldn't find the words to tell Aria. He was too afraid she'd leave him when she knows about it since he knew Aria has never loves him as much as she loved Chris. For example, she never even said she loves him.

"Oh, hey Ren, I didn't know you're coming over," Aria said when she got home, "wait, I thought you have class this afternoon."

"My dad doesn't really care about my studies. He just wants me to inherit his business. So I didn't go to college today because I went to his house to talk to him about a few things."

"Okay," she said, "since you're here, I'd make you lunch."

"Thanks," Ren smiled, "oh yeah, I almost forgot, I'm going to replace my dad at a meeting back in Los Angeles. It's a 5 days trip. Thought it'd be fun if you come."

"Thought it'd be fun to meet Chris again," she thought.

"What do you say?"

"Okay. Yeah, sure. Let's go."

It was one of Ren's strategy to let Aria know the truth about Chris. He couldn't manage to tell her himself. He wanted Chris to tell her everything.

"Are you ready?" Ren asked. It's finally the day. The day that they're going to go to LA. Aria is a little terrified because she never thought she'd be able to see Chris again.

"Yeah," she whimpered. She got inside the car and stared outside the window. Wondering about Chris' life in LA.

Ren looked at her and took her hand. This is probably the last time he'll be able to hold her hand like this. He wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her closer to him. Close enough to smell her scent. The scent of roses from the shampoo she always used.

"We'll be staying at this hotel. My pops ordered it. Not me. I don't know that it's going to be a 5 star hotel," Ren said as he stood in front of it when they've landed safetly in LA. A driver was waiting for them there and he took them to the hotel they were supposed to be staying at.

"I'm going to my aunt house first, okay?" Aria smiled, "do you want to come with me?" she offered.

"Nah, I'm meeting a few people after this. You be careful," he kissed her cheek.
