- Los Angeles, California, 2013

Aria opened her eyes. It was prom night and it had been 3 years since she met Chris and Ren. Thanks to them, her life slowly began to change. She never knew the beauty in life before she met them.

(a day before prom)

"What?!" he exclaimed, quite surprised, "you're performing on prom night?"

"Yeah, I'm playing a duet with a pianist. We're playing on the slow dance," Aria smiled, excitedly, "believe me, the music is so romantic."

"Then who will I dance with?" Chris sighed. He was not happy about the idea Aria was performing.

"I don't know. You can dance with every girl in our grade. It wouldn't be so hard," Aria said as she cleaned up her stuff.

Chris pulled her arm, "But I wanna dance with you. Can they find a substitute for you?"

"I volunteered," she said, blankly, "since nobody's willing to perform on prom."

"Nobody wants to perform because they wanted to dance and have fun," Chris said, desperately, "forget it, come on, let's go home."

"I can't go home with you. I've got practice. Sorry," she apologized as she put a small smile on her face.

Chris took a deep breath, "Okay. I can't wait for you because I need to get my suit. But can I pick you up tomorrow before prom?"

"Um... I have to arrive at school at 12. For the last practice," she scrunched her face, "but I'll greet you before I perform."

Chris walked gloomy to the parking lot when suddenly he felt someone patted hard his back.

"What's with the long face?" said the person who appeared to be Ren.

"Why does Aria have to play cello?" Chris whined, "I really want to dance with her you know. Prom is once in a life time!"

"Dance?" Ren laughed, "thank God I'm playing the piano. Say no to dance!"

"So you're the pianist!" Chris exclaimed, "please let Aria dance. You can play the piano on your own."

"Of course not. This is the music Aria wrote. She wants to play it for you and dedicating the song to you," Ren explained, "I just want to help her out with the piano part."

"Wait, so shouldn't you be practicing?' Chris asked.

"I'm buying ice cream first. See ya, Chris!" Ren said and got inside his car.

(Prom night)

Aria took out her prom dress and posed in front of the mirror. She gave herself a big smile and got inside the bathtub. She wore some normal clothes before she used her dress. After that she put some make up and fixed her hair. Her aunt is driving her to school since she thought Chris would probably take her home.

"Ren, you're pretty early," Aria said as she walked to Ren, "do you want to practice? Where's Kylie anyway?"

In the end, Aria wrote some lyrics to her song and one person will sing it on stage with them. She thought it'd be better so people can understand what she meant.

Ren closed his book and took off his glasses, "Yeah, sure. She's on her way. Have a little faith in her."

"It's hard to persuade someone to sing on prom night you know," Aria sighed, "luckily Kylie likes my song."

"Everybody will love your song," Ren smiled, he patted her head, "shall we start?"

Kylie showed up 15 minutes after Aria. They all practiced till an hour before prom started.
