Chapter Thirty-Eight~ Aftermath

Five years later

"How old are you now? Two months??" I questioned and pointed a spoon at her as I put the dishes away. She giggled and swung her legs against the cabinets.

"No!" she cried out and giggled as I jabbed her in her belly with a wooden spoon.

"What's cooking, good looking?" Jacob came in, grabbed a ladle, and smacked me hard on the booty and I gasped.

"JACOB, NOT IN FRONT OF KAT!" I smiled and he clutched his stomach with laughter. Kat giggled as he picked her up and spun her around in his arms.

"What, is going on, in here?" Carissa said propping Kamryn against her hip with Krysta and Kyle (they're twins, believe it or not) running around her.

"Just some major league fun, playing guess the birthday girl's age," I smiled and watched the twins put away the dishes in the dishwasher saying they wanted to help.

"Oh really? And how old did she say?" Carissa bent down (careful not to fall over with a swollen belly and a baby on her hip) to pick up a toy car and tossed it carelessly on the counter.

"Well, she says she's going to be five, but I don't believe her. I think she has a bad case of the fibbers!" I yelled and tickled her under her chin as she giggled against Jacob.

"I don't! I don't!" she squealed as the twins tickled the bottom of her feet. We finally put her down and she ran around with her brother and sister.

"I can't believe your about to have your fifth baby and you still have the same body you did the first time I met you!" Jacob exclaimed as she gave Kam to me when he enveloped her into a warm hug.

"I've missed you too, Jacob," she laughed and the pulled back.

"How old are they all now?" he asked as we sat down at the table and sipped the tea I had just made.

"Kat just turned five, so the twins will be three soon and the butter ball in Han's arms will be one," she smiled proudly as I played with Kam.

"Kammie's such a cutie!" I smiled at the bubbly boy in my arms. Ross and Riker came in and sat down at the table smiling.

"What are our babies doing?" Carissa asked grinning as Riker leaned over and kissed her cheek.

"Playing with Pixie and hanging out with mom," Ross smirked and clasped my hand in his under the table where Jacob couldn't see.

Oh the predicament with Ross! I bet you all are wondering about that. We realized after departing for a few months that we didn't want anyone else but each other. He proposed the next time we went out on a date, and as of now we are Mr. and Mrs. Ross Lynch.

As for Riker and Carissa, they got married for real after Katlynn was born and went on to have almost five beautiful children.

Jacob got back together with Shae and she is on good terms with Carissa now but me not so much. As for Jacob's friends, they moved away and got different jobs.

Rocky got married to mine and Carissa's friend Krysten and they have a set of gorgeous triplets in their house across the street. Rydel and Ellington married and are expecting the day after Carissa's. Ryland and Savanah are having a marriage extravaganza soon.

After we got married we weren't really feeling it in LA so we decided as a group to move closer to the heart and moved to Orlando in Jacob's neighborhood. Stormie and Mark live in a house on the corner of our street and visit the grandkids every chance they get.

We got together and had birdie talk every possible minute we got when we were sick of being with our beloveds.

Which is what we were doing now.
