When he saw news about the great Albus Dumbledore returning after being missing for six years, his face turned white.
Harry wouldn't be safe with him. Now that Anastasia was back Harry wouldn't be safe anywhere unless he placed him with another family.
While Harry was sleeping the man sent his snakes out to scout any potential candidates.
James and Lily Potter looked like the perfect fit. Young, recently married and coming back to London in two days after a year-long honeymoon.
If he planned it perfectly he could alter their memories and make them think Harry was their son.
It was perfect but he would miss Harry. It would be hard pretending not to know him but as long as Harry would be safe he didn't care about his own desires.
The man picked up the two days old Harry Haruno and apparated to Germany.
It didn't take long for the man to find the newlyweds. Before they even saw him he knocked them out with a Stupefy spell.
He then took away their memories of the past year and replaced them with false ones using the liberate spell.
The man summoned a crib and slowly put Harry into it, already regretting letting him go but knowing it was the best for him.
Before leaving the hotel he took out an old empty book and wrote down what you have been reading until this moment.
The Potter's were unconscious for two whole days while the man continued to write and write.
The man wanted to write so much more. Harry deserved to know everything when he got older but time wasn't on his side. If the Potters didn't arrive in London later that day Dumbledore might figure out Harry's identity.
He finished writing the book and placed a complex charm on it so Harry wouldn't be able to open it until after his death.
The Potters didn't notice anything different with their lives and happily accepted Harry as their son.
The man apparated away with a sad smile adorning his lips.
He hoped his nephew would live a happy life.
