Breakdown was absolutely your very best friend and being his partner was like friendship on steroids. You love him so much and knowing he feels the exact same about you was always a rush when you thought about it. Sending your heart into overdrive with affection for your husband. So today you were going to surprise him with something you know he was going to love!

"Alright I'm going to put this on you and you can take it off when we get there ok?" You say as you wrap the blindfold around his head.

"Sure thing babe"

"I think you're really gonna like it"

"Hey, if you came up with it I'm sure I will"

You smiled down at your husband. You kiss the top of his forehead before helping him up.

"Alright come on big guy" You patted his shoulder before leading him out the door and to the car.

You realize you could have blindfolded him in the car after he hit his head on the door... Oops...

~ Time Skip ~

You've been planning this for many months. You know Breakdown has always wanted a puppy, several actually. Today was your three year anniversary and you figured it was time to indulge. So you've been saving up and buying everything you need and carefully hiding it out of sight. It's kind of hard with him being so tall so you hid everything low to the ground and it seems to have actually worked. Or at least he's never asked why you're hiding dog food in the closet.

You pull into the parking lot and park the car.

"You still with me?"

"Of course, can't wait"

You help him out of the car, more careful this time so he doesn't hurt himself. You take his hand and lead him into the shelter. The smell is the first thing you notice, it's uhh, pretty terrible. Then it's the sound of dogs, really really loud dogs. Breakdown squeezes your hand, he's definitely caught on.

You can tell he's extraordinarily excited. You reach up and take his blindfold off. He has that starry love look in his eyes. Next thing you know you're being picked up and spun around.

"I love you more than anything else on this planet, you make everyday an adventure I can't wait to explore. Thank you babe, truly from the bottom of my heart"

He gives you a kiss and sets you down.

"I love you too, now go, you can pick anyone of them you want"

"Yes! Thanks babe love you" he gives you a final kiss before running off to the dogs.

The receptionist who you'd meet here before sighs sweetly before saying. "The two of you are so cute together"

You laugh a little before replying. "Yeah, we certainly are aren't we" With that far away look in your eye that meant you were talking about Breakdown the whole time.

You then walk over to your husband. He's holding a Corgi over his face and cooing at it. You rest your hand on his shoulder.

"You think this is the one?"

"I don't know they're all so cute how am I supposed to pick?"

"Well I did buy two food bowls so it'd be a shame not to use the second one"

"You're the best wife ever you know that?"

"I try"

~ Time Skip ~

Overall the trip to the shelter had taken you about three hours. Breakdown took every single puppy out of its cage to play with them. You weren't even mad because it was so freaking cute!

You had ended up with three dogs though which was A lot. Breakdown had given you those huge puppy dog eyes with all of their little puppy dog faces held right up to his. How were you supposed to say no? So here you are, with a Pitbull, a Rottweiler, and a Corgi. All the extra supplies in the back.

Huge buff dogs for your huge buff husband. At least you and the Corgi would have something in common. Seeing as how you were both the smallest of the respective human/dog groups.

"We're gonna need a bigger yard" You say, reality starting to dawn on you.

"A bigger yard and a bigger house. One we can start a family in"

You turn to look at him and he's looking right back. You start to tear up. Thinking of kids playing in the back yard and three dogs running circles around them.

"Stop it I can't cry and drive"

"You can do anything you put your mind to babe"

You giggle at that before wiping the tears away. This was going to be the start of something special you could tell.
