Paige's POV

I do really like off days. But I like working too. So I was happy to get up for work. I took a shower, got changed and ate some breakfast. As I was sitting on my bar stool drinking my coffee while I played with the piece of paper that had Sid's number on it. I eventually added his number to my phone. I kinda chuckled at the fact that I had Sidney Crosby's number.

I started to make my way over to the arena. I started getting butterflies in my stomach. I don't know why. It's not like it's my first day. That was already done and over with. Once I walked into the the arena I saw Sid off in the distance. Then my heart started racing and the butterflies in my stomach started to flutter harder. Ah ha. He is the source of this mild panic attack. I felt like a little school girl when they see there crush. Except I wouldn't classify Crosby as my "crush".

"Hey stone" someone shouts. I turn around and see that's it's Geno. "Hi Geno!" I say waving and smiling. He slowly jogs over to me and puts his arm around my shoulder. "How are you doing?" He says in broken English. "I'm very well thank you. How are you doing?" I asked. "Good, good, good" he says. "I just wanted to come say sorry for pulling you away from crosby" he says trying his best to speak clearly in English. "Oh! That's fine" I said smiling. "You sure? If I knew he was with you I would call later" he says looking down at me. "Stop worrying! It's all good" I said looking up at him. I continued to the workout room.

"Good morning Jeff" I said. "Morning Paige! It's nice to see your smiling face this morning" I said I just shot him another big smile. Once all of the guys get to the workout room Jeff gives them instructions. I follow his lead and engage myself. "Hey stranger" I familiar voice says behind me. I spin around and see it's Sidney. "Long time no see" I said to him. He laughed and sat down on the stationary bike that was in front of me. "I just thought I would come over and say hi" I said starting to peddle. "Aw that was nice of you" I replied smirking. I looked at the clipboard that was in my hand and flipped through a few pages. "Forty-five minutes starts now" I said sounding like a drill Sargent. "What?? It's never been that long" he said laughing. "Don't shoot the messenger" I said smiling and pointing at the clipboard while walking away.

After an intense morning of working out and practicing, it was over. I'm slowly starting to gain all of the guys' trust. I begin to walk through the foyer of the arena to leave when someone was running behind me calling my name. "Stop following me you stalker" I said seriously to the person behind me which was Crosby. "Oh....uh.." He stammered. "If you're going to hang out with me, you need to know I joke around a lot" I said teasing. "Duly noted" he said nodding his head. One day he will understand my sarcastic humour. Today obviously wasn't the day. "I was running after you to say, on Mondays the team usually gets together at one of our houses and eats dinner together" he said. I didn't know if he was inviting me or not. He left the statement wide open. "Oh that's nice" I said slowly. "Now you're part of the team. So I thought if you wanted to come I could pick you up?" He said. "Yeah! That would be fun." I said. "Good. I'll pick you up around four. And I guess I'll drive you home" he said. "Four it is. And no you don't have to drive me home." I said. "Look, it's not raining" I said pointing out the front doors. "Fine. But I'm still picking you up at four" he said. "Ok that's fine" I said smiling. "See you then" he said walking out. "Bye! Wait!! What do I wear tonight?" I asked quickly. "Just casual" he said turning while still walking. Okay causal, I can do that.

Sidney's POV

Tonight was our traditional Monday night dinner. I left my house around 3:45 to go pick up Paige. I walked up the stairs of her apartment and knocked on the door. She answered soon after I knocked. She looked really good. She was wearing light wash jeans and pink knit sweater. "You look good" I said walking in. "Not too bad yourself" she said to me. "I started to think" she began. "Uh oh" I said laughing. " Ha ha ha. No. I mean, about the dinner. Should I bring anything?" She asked. "Nope. Just yourself" I said "are you sure?" I asked. "I know the Canadian in you wants to bring something. But you don't need to. Trust me" I said. She laughed at my statement. Paige grabbed her coat and purse and then we headed out. "Who's house is it at?" She asked as we got into the car. "It's at Kunitz" I said buckling up. "And every Monday it's at a different guys house?" She asks. "Yes. Different house, different week." I replied to her. "When was it at yours?" She asked. "Uhhh, a couple of weeks ago." I said. "Speaking of your house. We haven't spent much time there." She said laughing. "We haven't spent anytime there" I chuckled. "Thanks for validating my point" she said proudly. "Smoooth. Well, after dinner if you're feeling up to it we can go." I said stopping at a red light. "Okay" she said smiling. The rest of the ride there we just listened to music.

When we got to Kunitz's house everyone was happy to see that Paige showed up. I could tell that she felt a little more relaxed when everyone welcomed her with open arms. We all sat around the table eating the meal that Chris's wife had made. It was really good. By the end of the main course Paige looked stuffed. "Usually Tuesdays we go a lot harder in the gym and on the ice to work off Mondays feast" Chris said to Paige. "I understand why" she laughed. For dessert we all had this delicious chocolate cheesecake. After that we all went into a food coma.

After some of us cleaned up we headed out. "I'm way to stuffed to feel comfortable" Paige said as we sat in the car. "It was all so good" I said. "Next time I'll wear my stretchy pants" she said looking down at her stomach rubbing it. "I see you have a little food baby there" I said laughing. "Yes. Me and my food baby should probably just go home." Paige said. "Awww" I said looking sad. "Home James" she says and claps. I start to pull out and drive away. "I should charge you extra for carrying a third person" I chuckled. "Hey!! Don't make fun of my poor innocent food baby" she said rubbing her stomach. The whole car ride we just joked around. When we got to her building I walked her to her apartment. "Oh boy. Were the stairs necessary?" She acted like she was out of breathe. "Gotta work it off somehow" I said. "Thanks for the drive. Tonight was fun." She said. "You're welcome" I said smiling. "Goodnight" she said unlocking her door. "Night Paige" I said smiling. I waited until she was inside and went down to my car. I drove away half wishing we could've went back to my place. Another day.
