Emerson's POV
Monday
They weekend was nice, Archer and I texted a few times. Now it's Monday, my body did an internal groan as I walked through the school doors.I went from my locker to my first class, because I was late. I opened the door to my English class, trying to slip in, but I was caught. "Miss Kendall, you're late" Mrs. Robinson said.
"Yes ma'am, there was a lot of traffic" I lied. She put her hands on her hips as she tapped her foot.
"Then why is everyone else on time" she crossed her arms. Everyone's eyes stared me down.
"Well, I was dropped off by my mom, everyone else rode the bus" a few people had said they were dropped off as well.
"Miss Kendall, you have detention today after school" I cursed myself remembering I had dance today.
"I'm sorry, but I can't come today" she cleared her throat angrily. "I have dance after school, and see I can't miss another class" she grabbed a detention slip from her desk and handed it to me.
"Well, you should have thought about that" I took my seat with anger bubbling in me. For the rest of school I just zoned out.
(After school)
"Hey Em, can we talk" Annie's voice whispered behind me as I took a seat in detention.I turned around amazed that the good girl was in detention. "Go ahead" I whispered. She smiled and proceeded her apology.
"I'm sorry about what I said, yet you did ask for my opinion" she was right, I can't be mad when I had asked her opinion.
"Yeah, you're right" I smiled and awkwardly hugged her over the desk. We giggled a bit trying to be quit but failing.
"Miss Kendall, Miss Skye would you like an extra hour of detention" we both shook our heads no while smiling widely. I pulled out my phone deciding to text Annie instead.
E- *wow Mrs. Robinson is such a snob*
Annie's phone buzzed notifying she had a text. She looked down and saw it was me, quickly looking back up and giggling.
A- *ikr she kind of reminds me of Mrs. Tucker*
E- *I wonder if Mrs. Robinson is going through a divorce as well*
A- *no she has never been married*Annie was the type of girl that knew everything and everybody. She was always the chatty one and I was always the quite one. If you wanted information on someone, Annie was your girl.
E- *really, wow I can totally understand why*
I laid my phone down for a short minute, waiting on a reply from Annie. My phone buzzed but, Annie wasn't typing. I picked up my phone and Archers name appeared.
Arch- *hey, you're late where are you?*
E- *hey, sorry I got detention today*
Arch- *oh did you now, so miss bad girl what did you do*
E- *I was late to school, thanks to my mom needing to do her makeup*
Arch- *I could start taking you, if you like*
E- *I don't know, my mom always takes me or I walk*
Arch- *well the offer still stands,so I guess training is canceled today*
E-*sorry maybe tomorrow*
Arch-*:(*I smiled at my phone, getting lost and distracted by Archer. Until I felt a tap on my shoulder. "Em, we can go now" Annie said taking me out of my daze.I grabbed my stuff and followed Annie out the door. "Who were you texting" Annie questioned.
"My mom, she was wondering where I was..I lied and said I was getting ready at your house" she laughed as we walked to her car.
"Do you want a ride" I thought for a minute, then decided why not. I got in the car and Annie drove us to her house to hangout for a bit.
Yay the besties are back together.... 🦄😂
