*Rory*
The day has gone by pretty slowly. With it not being a chore day, we've had pretty much nothing to do.
"Hey Quill, want to go to the park?" I ask Quill as I walk to our room, standing in the door way. She sits up on her bed, letting the book she was reading fall.
"Sure." She nods as she hands me my penny board. As we walk out Dorris stops us and says,
"Whoa girls, you can't go out today." We turn back to look at her. What does she mean?
"Why not?" Quill asked suspiciously. We've never been denied to go out side unless we have chores, or it's a meal time.
"Because a couple set up an adoption today. They want you, Rory." She said with a smile. I smile on the outside, but mentally roll my eyes. I'm just going to be sent back here like I was the last five times so what's the point in being excited to be denied again.
"Rory's gonna leave?" I could hear a familiar voice whimper from behind me. I turn to see a frail Sarah standing there with tears welding in her eyes. I walk over to her, and bend down to her level.
"Not for long though. I'm probably going to be sent back here in a week tops anyways." I tell her with a reassuring smile. She sniffs as she nods and then walks off.
"You shouldn't always have that mindset. You need to start believing that people want you." Dorris sighed.
"Only want me for a week." I retorted. She rolls her eyes and goes on with whatever it was she was doing. "So, we can't leave. Do you want to go to go play some Rocket League?" I ask Quill, standing up to my original height. She nods and we head to the living room. We plug the controllers in and start playing. We play for a while and then we heard the front door open. I don't even have to look over to know that it's the people here to adopt me.
"Are you here for Rory?" I heard Dorris ask the people that walked in. I look over to see them. It's Corey and Devyn. They're right there, talking to Dorris. They want to adopt me? It shouldn't be me though. Out of anyone here, it should be Quill. She's the one that's obsessed with their videos. Not me. She's the one that has been dreaming of meeting them. I only started watching their videos yesterday. Quill's head popped up once she heard Dorris say that. Her eyes widened when she saw them.
"Wait, what?" I question as I hop off the couch to go see them. "You've got the wrong person. It's not me you should be adopting. You guys should get Quill." I say gesturing over to Quill, who blushes at me talking about her to her idols.
"No, Rory, you have to go with them." Quill said to me, grabbing one of my arms. She has a little glint in her eyes, and I don't know what it's about. "A week tops, right?" She asked.
"Yeah?" I say-it being a question more than a statement.
"Wrong. You've always wanted a forever home, I'm not going to be the one who lets you down from this opportunity." Quill said to me with a smile. It makes my heart warm that she cares so much about me but I still can't help but feel guilty about this.
"You should go pack up." Quill said to me. "Only if you help." I argued with a smile. So... I smargued. She nodded and we went upstairs to go pack what I normally pack whenever someone tries to put up with me. I pack my clothes in a suitcase big enough for the few outfits that I have (Helen won't allow me to get any others because she has a stick up her ass), I sling my guitar case over my shoulder and grabbed my penny board. We started to walk back down the stairs as Corey and Devyn finished up the paper work to take me with them. I drop my penny board on the ground and put my foot on it, rocking it back and forth a bit.
"So, you ready to go?" Corey asked me, putting the pen down.
"Sure." I sigh as I stuff my hands into my pockets. I push my other foot down on the ground as I began to roll towards the door. Corey opens it as I skate out.
"Bye guys!" I yell as I wave back at the girls. They come out and wave back. Corey and Devyn lead me to their car, and in the back seat I can see Sam and Colby.
"What's up Rory?" Sam asked as I sat in the back between Colby and the door.
"I just got adopted by a group of YouTubers I legit met yesterday that I didn't even know about since then. Besides that nothing much really." I sarcastically answer Sam. After I said that Sam nodded and said,
"Fair enough."
"Wait, wait, wait. You haven't seen our videos before?" Colby asked with a fake hurt expression.
"Not since yesterday." I say truthfully. They all look a little hurt-in a jokingly way.
"Well then!" Corey yelled, making Sam, Colby, Devyn, and I laugh.
"Oh wait! I've seen your vines!" I shout in some realization.
"Hey... Vine's dead. We can't go there." Colby fake cried as he looked down.
"It was so young!" I fake cried too. Sam joined in and we all huddled up in a hug.
"Hands where I can see them. She's now technically my daughter, and I don't want her to have you guy's germs." Corey said from the front seat. Sam, Colby, and I all sit up and I laugh at them. "And since you both think it's funny to pretend that you've either giving my girlfriend a hickey, or that you're sleeping with her, I think you shouldn't try anything with her." Corey added soon after.
"Wait what did you guys do?!" I giggle as I look over to the blonde and the brunette next to me.
"We have a prank wars at the house." Sam informed me.
"Oh god. Am I going to have to deal with that?" I mumbled. Colby and Sam looked over at each other and then nodded. I'm only acting like this because I am the prank master. I just don't want to give that away just yet. I can tell it's going to be a fun week.
