Dee received a call from his security telling him that they went to grab Ruby food, came back, the back door was ajar and her debit card was laying on the ground. If that wasn't enough to drive him crazy, the fact that Ruby's phone was powered off definitely sent him over the edge.
Driving 100 mph through residential neighborhoods Dee was cursing himself for leaving Ru alone. He couldn't even think straight as he parked in front of his driveway and jumped out with the car running.
Don, Bear, Zay, and Josh weren't far behind.
"What happened?!" Dee asked the first guy he spotted. The man opened his mouth to speak, but not quick enough for Demetrius.
Pow
He sent a hollow point straight through the guys head before turning towards the other one.
"My G, now ain't the time to take your time. You better talk fast," Dee stated with a mug.
The man held his hands up in defense. There was honestly nothing he could say to calm Demetrius's rage. Just as his partner stated, all they knew was Ruby sent them to grab food.
"Speak up muthafucka!" Dee yelled slapping the pistol across the guy's face.
"I... I don't-"
Pow
Dee didn't have time for the bullshit. His pregnant fiance was missing and he needed some answers.
"What the fuck man?!" Josh yelled once he ran up and saw the mess Dee made. Don was behind him and quickly got on the phone to call his clean-up crew.
"Bruh, I'm dead ass about to go on a fucking warpath if somebody don't tell me something!" Dee yelled out. "I cannot lose-" Demetrius slid down the wall and broke down crying. Josh stood there and let him have his moment.
It was as if Dee's worst fear was coming true. The one thing he didn't want to happen was happening, and there wasn't a damn thing he could do about it.
Dee felt hopeless. He was to the point where he was ready to stick his gun in his mouth and end it all. He probably would have had Zay not ran over in a panic.
"Yo, we gotta get to the hospital. Porsha just called and said they brought Ruby in on a stretcher," Zay paused. He looked down at Dee with pity in his eyes. "She said Ruby was beat up pretty bad, shit ain't looking good." He sighed.
Dee's heart was thumping wildly. He was so shocked at Zay's words that he became physically sick and started to puke. All of the men felt Dee's pain as he continued to cry while they pulled him to the car.
Josh must have prayed the entire way to the hospital. He knew that none of them personally deserved God's grace, but Ruby was different. She was a good person, she didn't deserve any of this shit.
Zay quickly threw his car in park pulling Josh from his thoughts.
Dee jumped out of the car before it even stopped moving. He was distraught as he ran to the front counter asking for Ruby's room number.
"I'm looking for Ruby Young," Dee stated to the young girl who was sitting behind the counter on the phone. She held up a finger further infuriating Dee.
Snatching the phone from her hand Demetrius threw it up against the wall causing a commotion. He then proceeded to snatch the woman halfway over the counter.
"Look bitch, now ain't the time for your ghetto bullshit! I need you to hop on that fucking computer and type in R-U-B-Y!" Dee yelled spelling out Ruby's name.
Don ran inside and grabbed Demetrius up.
"I know you're hurting, we all are! But you gotta fucking relax! You hear me?!" Don yelled pulling Dee into his embrace. "You flying off the handle ain't helping Ruby none! Now ain't the time for you to crack up!"
