At six months pregnant, life for me is getting very interesting to say the least, not to mention my birthday was coming up in July and I was set to be due around September.

I wanted the sex to be a secret up until delivery, Jo was a little pooped about it but it works for me.

Same night, 2 a.m.

"Jo.. Josie!" All I heard were her snores after shaking her, dang it. I'm hungry as hell. Ugh, here goes nothing.

"Your child is hungry, sir." I texted my child's father, a guy I'd met at the diner one day, don't judge me.

"This sounds like Mama Bear's chubby butt talking, not my little princess." He swore it would be a girl, but couldn't tell me why.

"Unless you want Mama Bear to throw a fit, it'd be your best bet to feed us." I smiled as I hit 'send'. The bubble danced before displaying his response.

"What would you like, Lynia?" I snickered to myself, thinking of all the delicious fast food.

I waddled down the stairs and to the front door. You guessed it, the food had arrived. I let him in and we headed to the kitchen.

"Hmm, let's see if daddy pays attention." I said, patting my stomach for a sign of the baby. He shook his head, no doubt probably tired of my spoiled ass.

"Strawberry shake, check. - I looked over my shoulder, smirking at him. "Double cheeseburger and onion rings. Yass!"

"You aren't going to keep feeding my baby junk food, Nia."

"Man, hush allat. I'm hungry, okay? It won't hurt lil mama or daddy to be a little chunky." I slurped my milkshake. Ahh.

"Whatever you say woman. I gotta get going, check in on you later?" With that, he kissed my head and left back out the front door.

Sleep began to set in. I made sure the front door was locked and started the journey back up the stairs to snoring beauty. Thank goodness I had the day off from work tomorrow.
