Nia's Point of View

I had been at my moms for two days now. It was peaceful and I didn't have to talk about how fucked up my situation is if I didn't want to, ma didn't really press it. It was a nice Saturday morning so I decided to get my ass up and outta bed. A hot shower and a change of clothes later, ma and I sat watching All My Children. My head lay in her lap while she ran a brush through my tangled curls.

"Hey ma?" I yawned out. "Yeah baby, what is it?" She monitored me and the babies like clockwork. "Where's my phone? I looked around the room but didn't see it anywhere." I got up to go look again.

"Chile I turned that mess off and hid it so you and my grand babies can rest. It's in my bedroom nightstand." I bent to kiss her cheek. "Always taking care of me, thanks ma."

Waddling my way to her room where I sat and powered on my phone. It vibrated mercilessly with missed phone call and text notifications. I decided to check the texts first. I frowned at seeing only one from Jo, and it just said 'come home, we need to talk.' Worry settled in my stomach at the words.

I went back to read a few from Caleb begging to know how the babies were and that if I needed anything, to call him. This Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde attitude from him was blowing me. First it was all sweet words and gifts, then boom! He's angry again. My shoulders and head were heavy as I got up to head back to my room to throw on my things and head out to my car.

"I'll be back later ma, you need anything while I'm out?" I asked on my way out the door. She looked up at me from the couch with a motherly look on her face. "You to be alright, that's what I need while you're out daughter." I walked back over to give her a hug and kiss on the cheek. "Don't you worry, we'll be just fine," I rubbed my belly. I turned to head out. The first stop I would be making would be my house, of course. And I definitely mean MY house, since I put up more than half of the money to own that mothafucker! But, that's another conversation for another time.

I pulled up and walked up to the house, going in through the garage. It was quiet but I knew she was here.

"Josie I'm here, to talk.." I trailed off at the sight of her coming down the steps. My pussy clenched at how damn fine she looked since we last saw each other at all. Even in just sweats and a hoodie, with curls hanging, she made me melt.

"Welcome home love. You need anything, you hungry? How the babies doing?" She was being awfully nice and I wasn't sure why. Just last week she wanted to know how long I had been 'fucking mister millionaire'.

"I'm fine actually. Got your text so, here I am." I kicked my shoes off and got comfortable on my couch.
