How can You Mend a Broken Heart

"Are you sure Sunny's gonna come tonight? " Ninefour was busy helping Mahizaidi put away the dishes. They're in Mahizaidi's place, and all four of them were just finished with dinner. They're leaving for Brea Bar in thirty minutes.

"Yes, of course. We've talked about this yesterday, right? We all got to ask Sunny if she's ready to do this despite her situation. We know her too well... She would never leave us hanging just because of personal matters. She's always been professional since day one." says Nikka.

"I agree. Sunny would never do that to us. Though I would still understand if something comes up unexpectedly. We already have our plan B. We know what adjustments to make if something happens. " Mahizaidi gave Nikka a nod.

" I just hope things will be better for her soon. It's not easy coping with a broken heart." Ninefour shook her head.

"Yeah, it's not easy..." Lesboy took a glance at Nikka. It just so happened, Nikka stared back at her after hearing that. They both felt awkward.

"Uhmmn... You know what, Ninefour? I feel really stuffed, and I think I need to walk for a few minutes outside. Care to join me? " Mahizaidi raised her eyebrows at Ninefour. She gave her a wink. Ninefour got the message. They' re both aware that Nikka and Lesboy were not really in speaking terms lately. They know what's going on because Lesboy already told them about what happened with her and Nikka the last time. Lesboy and Nikka were exchanging glances at them as if telling them, " don't leave us here!" but then Ninefour just shrugged it.

" Oh, sure! No problem. A little exercise won't hurt. Let's go." Ninefour turned to look at Nikka and Lesboy. Her eyes were teasing.

" See you later, guys. We'll be back in fifteen minutes." Mahizaidi gave Nikka the sweeper. Nikka's jaw dropped. " I can't believe this..." she told herself. She shook her head. Then she turned to look at Lesboy. That broke the ice... Lesboy wasn't able to help it, she was laughing. It made Nikka laugh too. They were like crazies.

"Have you seen that? They literally left all the cleaning to us. Geez!" Nikka exclaimed. Lesboy just shrugged her shoulders. " Oh, these guys..." Nikka shook her head. She started sweeping as Lesboy headed to the sink. She started scrubbing the dishes with soap. After she finished sweeping the floor, Nikka stood beside Lesboy and started rinsing the dishes and was putting them on the dish rack. It was an awkward situation because they suddenly have become quiet. Then Lesboy started talking...

" I'm sorry for the last time... Promise, I.." Nikka interrupted Lesboy...

" Can we not talk about that anymore? Can we just start anew? I mean, we're friends for the longest time and it shouldn't be a problem, right? " Nikka gave Lesboy a smile. It was a sincere smile...

Lesboy nodded. " Okay..." that was all she could say. Then she continued scrubbing the dishes.

" I just want you to know that I believe everything you have told me, and I'm thankful that you love me..." Nikka took a deep breath. She felt good after saying that. She continued rinsing the plates.
