Colby and I were sitting in his bed. I didn't know what to say.. I hated the fact that Jake might be doing these things; that's why I want to make sure. I don't want Colby to get involved. Jake could do anything to him and I don't want anything to happen to him. I really like him in both a friend way and a like like way.

Colby noticed that I was in a deep thought, "Hey. You okay?"
After I snapped out of it, I played with my fingers, "Oh..uh- yeah I'm fine."
"You sure Kathryn?" He knew something was wrong..but still I can't let him know.
I put on a serious face, "I'm okay. I promise. Nothings going on. I'm fine." Then I smiled.

"You can come to me whenever something's wrong. You know that right?" The worry in his eyes..
I nodded, "I know."
"Okay. Just please come to me."
"I will Colby." I smiled at him. He smiled back, again with that loving look he gives off.

Sam walked in, "Guys come here." He looked excited. Colby and I immediately shot up. We then we followed Sam.

He took us outside to the pool. We stared at him with confusion, "Why are we out here?" Colby asked.
"Elton threw 400 water balloons into the neighbor's yard, and he's over there trying to pick them all up before the neighbor gets home." Sam was laughing. We were too.

"He didn't." I laughed.
Sam smiled, "He did."

Colby walked up to the bench, jumped on it and said, "You having fun LT?"
"So much." He said sarcastically, picking up pieces of popped balloons.
"Well you have fun bro. Ima go hang with Sam and my girl friend." Colby jumped off the fence then walked over to Sam and I, "Come on guys, let's go do something."

Sam looked at me then back at Colby, "Like what?"
"Explore. Like we always do." He replied with a smile.
I smiled back at him, "Why not?"
"Let's go." Sam laughed then ran into the house.

Colby and I laughed as we also ran into the house to get the stuff.

We were all in the car and Sam said, "It's 1 in the morning and we're going to explore an abandoned coal mine."
"Literally, I've never done this before." I admitted.
Colby looked back at me from the passenger seat, "Really? Never?"
"Never?" I replied, "Strict ass parents."
He laughed, "We moved to California after we graduated."

"Colby I'm 19, so did I." I laughed.
Sam laughed, "We've lived here for two years."

"Sam! Right there. Turn left." Colby pointed to the left and there was a turn off that said California Mine. But on the sign was a red strip that said, closed. No entry. Eh, we didn't care.
