Stella (unedited)

The wind rushed past my skin as I gripped tightly to his sides. As we swung through the streets, I watched things slowly begin to blur. It was like...instead of separate traffic lights, they were a string of party lights after too many drinks.

I gently rested my head against his shoulder and sighed softly.

This was all too pretty.

I closed my eyes, allowing myself to silently bask in the moment, the loud sounds of the city faint below us, the wind whooshing in my ears and whipping my hair around.

I began humming softly, the tune to a song I could only ever hear when I made long trips to the library to use their computer for YouTube. Then after a while of humming and swinging through New York skies, I whisper-sung.

"Who will fix me now?
Dive in when I'm down?
Save me from myself?
Don't let me drown,"

"You okay there, Stell?" He spoke through his mask and I glanced up at him as we swung into an abandoned building.

My breath caught in my throat a bit as I nodded, smiling weakly.

"Yeah I'm fine." I simply replied as he set me down on the cold concrete of the empty, worn room.

He sighed, sitting in front of me, resting his chin on his hand.

"But fine isn't having fun." He remarked and I smiled softly.

"I really have been having fun! The most fun I've had in a while." I reassured him and part of his mask stretched due to him quirking his eyebrow.

"I promise." I added, giggling softly.

His mask pulled again in certain areas indicating he was smiling quite widely.

Laying back onto the beaten concrete, I glanced over at him and noticed him staring back at me through his Spidey-mask.

"So why Bring Me The Horizon?"

His question made me giggle, not because I thought is was odd, or said randomly, but because he actually knew who they were.

"BMTH because I enjoy them, and I have felt what they felt....not only felt it but bathed in it....been buried in it....drowned in it." I sighed after my reply, and he did as well.

"Tell me about you. Not Spider-Man, but the real you." I spoke up softly, dragging my fingers along the rubble.

"Well ummm...there isn't much to know." He shrugged, and I gave him a look.

"Come on, Spidey! Everyone has a story. You practically know mine, so tell me yours. Or at least....parts of it and I'll put it together myself." I sat up, my head cocked to the side, staring back at him.

He sighed softly, shaking his head before diving into story time.

"When I was young, my parents dropped me off at my grandparents house, said they had to go somwhere. I guess at the time I was used to secrecy because my father was always so hush-hush about his work as a scientist. Just a while later the cops came and so sis the newspaper articles: both my parents had died in a plane crash. Lived with Aunt and my Uncle for as long as I can remember, then a few months ago my Uncle was shot and killed on the street."

I bit my cheek, a frown etched into my features as I nodded. I clasped my hands together, laying them on my stomach as I stared at the red, blue and slightly black mask.

"Don't you hurt? Don't you just wanna sleep for forever? Or crawl into the deepest hole and never come out? Doesn't your pain corrode the rest of your life?....I just can't seem to understand....," I was generally confused about his point of view on life and how it was possible or him to surpass this mountainous issue.

"No, you know why? Because if I let their passing, or disappearance hold me back or bring me down I won't ever get where I'm going, and I won't ever be happy. Stell if you can't let go of the fact that your parents are gone there really is no other cure for you sadness. And you deserve the satisfaction that comes with letting it go and allowing yourself to be a joyful person." As he spoke, I nodded trying to make sure these words were processing in my head so I could get past this mountain that Spidey made seem so minute.

"So saving people really is your thing, huh?" My eyes drew over to the man in the red and blue body suit.

"Uhh....yeahh.....I guess you could say that." His mask tugged up forming a small smile and I found myself smiling softly back.

"I want to be saved." My eyebrows scrunched together as I told him that and he scooted closer.

"And it would be my honor to do my duty," He nodded and I giggled gently when Spidey proceeded with his question, "what can I do to save you?"

I bit my lip, my eyes quickly finding the rubble floor beneath us.

"Don't leave me."
