Saket got up and walked upto the room where Jo was. He saw her through the little round glass on the door. She was on a ventilator, surrounded by numerous machines. She was breathing heavily, by some assistance by the artificial respirator.

As he looked at her, he recalled the bubbly, crazy and obsessed girl he once knew. He was lost in her thoughts when something happened. She breathed very heavily a number of times and, all of a sudden, stopped.

"Doctor!!!!!" He yelled. The doctor rushed past him into the room alongwith a couple of subordinate doctors. Saket couldn't understand a thing. All he could see through that round glass was the doctors giving her an electric shock. He understood that she was dying and they were trying to revive her. Amidst this mess, he hadn't noticed Syd come and cling to him. She knew it too.

Saket saw the doctors make their way out of the little room. "What? Can you..?" Saket was asking the lead doctor, he knew from their conversation before. But the doctor didn't even pause to look at him, he only spoke to Jo's father. "Errrmm.. Mr. Stewarts? Can I have a word with you? Alone? Come along, please.."

"Why don't the hell you talk to me???? I"M ASKING YOU SOMETHING!!!!" Saket couldn't help yelling. But the doctor just ignored him. He held the doctor by his arm and turned him around, so that they stood face to face. "TALK TO ME!!" he said through gritted teeth.

"Okay, young man. Come along with the father." He said, surprisingly calm.

Saket and Mr. Stewarts followed him to what seemed to be his little cabin. "Have a seat.." he said as he gestured towards 2 chairs placed against a table. "I'm okay.." Saket said softly, "Sir...." as he helped Mr. Stewarts into one of the chairs.

"So...." he asked. The doctor began, "Sir, and you, young man..." sounding very grave and serious. "She suffered a sudden cardiac arrest, and.."

"And?" Saket questioned, frowning. "And, we managed to revive her..." said the doctor.

Saket sighed and smiled. "So she's out of danger? Thank god!" "Yes, out of danger, you may say." came the reply.

"What do you mean?" he was serious again. The doctor informed him, "She's survived the arrest, but she's in coma. She suffered both brain hemorrhage and cardiac arrest, she could've died. She's incredibly lucky.

These words stung like daggers. Both Saket and Jo's father were shocked.
