Some promises are hard to keep. Some are meant to be broken. Saket did what he had promised. He returned Jo's phone, had deleted the audios, refused to tell her what had happened after she had collapsed at the airport, and tried to stay away from her as much as possible. When asked by anyone, he managed to say just one line, "Its for the best. This is best for all of us."

He did visit Jo in the hospital at night sometimes, just to see her when she's sleeping. He made a trip during the day, but only to accompany Syd or her parents, as rarely as once in a week. One day, he went with Sydney and unaware that she took his phone, he chatted with Mr. Hale about Jo's health. Syd sat with Jo and the two of them were playing games on his phone.  Just then Syd got up and left to grab some chocolates that she had given Saket for safekeeping. "Saket? My chocolates?" she interrupted Mr. Hale as he was saying something that was maybe considerably important, his face was serious so one could guess. "Yeah. They're safe." he handed them to her. "I trust you, and ONLY you when it comes to my chocolates." she said, gave him a smile and went about offering her family the chocolates as she ate.

Meanwhile, Jo had Saket's phone. Bored of gaming, she soon opened iTunes and began playing songs. One song she particularly liked and made a mental note to ask information about the artist, 'One Direction'.

Then an audio played up, a voice recording. It was vaguely familiar. She sounded like Jo herself. It was the audio in which she'd told Saket how much she loved him. Her head began to ache, like something was hitting her skull from within, but she didn't stop the audio, she let it play. All at once, scenes started flashing before her eyes- her childhood, moments spent with her family, pictures of Saket (she saw herself fangirling), the hugs she'd shared with him, his voice on the phone when she cried on the other side.

And soon enough, she knew everything that had happened in her past. On coming back to the real world, she realized she had stuffed her knuckles in her mouth to prevent yelling, and she had bitten into them so badly that she could taste blood. She could see teeth marks deep into her hand.

Tears were constantly flowing from her eyes, when Syd entered ther room again, holding chocolates for Jo. "Here. Toblerone. Your favourite. Boy, how you used to fight with me. You may not remember, but...." she suddenly noticed the incessant tears, "Hey, what happened? Jo? You okay?

"I do, Syd. I remember every little thing. That day when my phone screenlock was Chuck Norris? It was you, wasn't it?" and the next thing Sydney knew was hugging Jo, tightly. Both of them were laughing and crying at the same time. "You nearly killed us. Forgotten stuff. Mum and Dad were so sad. I'm gonna go tell them!" "Not sadder than Saket, were they?" Jo asked. "Well, of course not. He missed you most sis." she replied.

While Jo's parents cried and hugged her, Saket stood there, looking at them, wondering what the hell had just happened. Palash only kept looking at Saket, giving him a look of total disbelief. Syd, who knew nothing of the 'Promises' hugged Saket and said excitedly, "She's back! All yours now!! Go, kiss her."

"I can't." he said, and left the room.
