'Sir did you know anything about her... umm... Smoking?" Saket asked Jo's father.

He shook his head for a NO. Saket handed over the note to her mum. "And..Ummm... She had this."

Her parents read it, and Mrs. Stewarts began weeping. Sydney began crying too. "No, don't cry, please. She'll be.... Uh... Fine..." He stammered a little as he tried to cheer them up, his attempt clearly useless.

'Who do you think you're lying to? They know it as much as you do!' he whispered to himself.

He wasn't able to hold back anymore. He told Sydney, "I'll just be back." and walked out of the main entrance of the hospital, with the cigarette packet in one hand and her cell in the other.

He unlocked his new Audi, drove it to the parking lot and locked the car from inside. He didn't want to get out. He put on the light in the front.

He opened the cigarette packet and, noticed that only 2 were left. He pulled out one and lit it. He always kept a box of matches in his pocket, for emergencies.

As he puffed the cigar, he coughed terribly. He wondered how someone could like the smoke, he was already choking.

But, he wasn't gonna leave it and continued to smoke. With every puff, he got more comfortable. As he smoked, he took her cell out of his pocket.

His hands shivered a little, half due to nervousness and half due to smoking for the first time. He unlocked her phone and looked for the audio files she mentioned in the note. Soon enough, he found them, not 2 but 3 of them. Why did she mention only 2?

He reluctantly played the first one.

'Saket, this is for you.... Dim that spotlight.....' And the rest of Superstar played on, the only difference between the original and that one was the voice. The voice was closer to Demi Lovato's but a little like Taylor's too. He knew it was Jo, and he regretted never hearing her sing before. He loved her voice. 'Oh gosh, how the hell did I not know she could sing?' he thought. 'What's worse is that she NEVER told me, but why?'

For that brief moment, he forgot he was supposed to be depressed about something. And that something was Jo being in the ICU.
