Jacob's pov

Tonight, with Alexa was amazing.

Kissing her just felt right.

She was only beautiful she was smart as well.

She was unlike any other woman I've ever met.

It was hard leaving her.

I knew once I left she was going to have doubts.

She was worried this would affect her job.

I know we shouldn't be together, but I would never risk her job.

I don't know what I could do to reassure her.

I know she felt something as well I just hope she doesn't over think everything.

I thought about calling her but I know that was pushing.

Plus, I wanted her to make a move.

I needed to know she felt the same way.

I was so twisted up over Alexa.

No woman has ever made me come undone like this.

I decided to go over my notes for a case I would be presenting this week in court.

This case was important because a child died due to negligence of a drug company.

I wanted them to own up to what they have done.

I can't drop the ball just because I was worried about Alexa.

I get what she was saying now.

But we didn't have to let us being together distract our work.

I felt like we could have both.

Once I was pleased with all the progress I had done I put everything away.

I needed to get some sleep.

Tomorrow was a new day and I couldn't wait to see Alexa.

I couldn't help myself I sent her a text saying goodnight beautiful.

I wanted her to know I was thinking of her even if she didn't respond back.

I just hoped she was thinking of me as well.
