First I don't own gravity falls. Alex hirsch does. This is just my fanfic of it. Only thing I claim about this is the story plot ry plot. And I don't own any pictures I use or any video/song I use for my story. I'm just using them because they fit my image of what's happening.

Soon dipper got back to the mystery shack. He parked his motorcycle in the garage. Then they went inside.

"Is he ever going to leave me alone!" Pacifica cried. Dipper shook his head.

"I don't think he will." dipper said. He looked down in thought. "Not until your 18 birthday that is. Once your 18 he can't lay a finger on you legally. Then again it's also illegal to beat on a minor." Dipper said then he looked at Pacifica. "When is your birthday?" He asked.

" a month from now.  March 18." She said. (I don't know her birthday. Don't think it's in the show. So I made one up that fits the story. Don't think this the actual day for Pacifica's birthday.) dipper looked away. Damn that was 3 weeks and 2 days. Well looks like he just had to keep her safe from her father until then. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Dipper got up to answer it. When he did he found Preston northwest.

"Hold on to that thought." He said to the man before closing the door in his face. Then he walked away. He went back to Pacifica. "Is there anything we can use as proof as too him beating you?" Dipper asked. Pacifica nodded. "Good." Preston knocked again. "Hold on." Dipper said rolling his eyes. He walked back and open the door.

"Did you just shut the door in my face?!" Preston asked incredulously.

"Yeah. Watch I'm gonna do it again." Dipper said this time shutting a little harder making it slam in his face. Then he stood their for a second. Preston knocked again harder this time. He opened the door.

"Boy. Don't mess with me. Is Pacifica here?" He asked in a deep dark tone.

"So what if she is. Legally you can't step foot in my house without a warrant. You walk in my house without my approval I can call the police and have you arrested. So what does it matter to you." Preston glarred at dipper.

"Pacifica Elise northwest. If you are in there show yourself!" He yelled. Pacifica cowered in fear in the living room.

"I'm gonna kindly ask you to leave the property before I call the police." Dipper said. Pacifica came out behind him. And watched as her father turned around and walked to his car. Before he got in he turned around.

"Pacifica get in this car right now if you ever want to see your inheritance!" He yelled. Pacificas eyes went wide. Dipper looked at her.

"What's he talking about?" Dipper asked.

"I was close with my grandfather before he died. He thought my father was too spoiled so he left everything to me. So in his will he wrote that when I'm eighteen everything that belongs to the northwest family becomes mine." She said. Dipper realized this was important to her.

"Legally speaking. He can't change the will of someone else. But I'm gonna guess he's gonna find someone to do it illegally for him." Dipper said. He looked down in thought. Then he got an idea. He walked out of the house leaving Pacifica inside. "Hey Preston. How about a deal." He said. Preston stared at him. "Let's make a bet right here, right now. If I win the bet you leave Pacifica alone and she keeps her inheritance. You win Pacifica decides if she wants to go with you back to the manor or stays here." Dipper said.

"That seems pretty one sided to me." Preston said. Dipper shrugged.

"I don't know. From my position your end seems pretty good. If Pacifica goes then you get your daughter back and everything that's happened disappears. But if she stays from my understanding you get to keep everything from what your saying. She won't get her inheritance." Dipper said.

"And what makes you think I'll agree to this." He said. Walking up to dipper.

"I can call the police right now. We have proof of your abuse. I'm sure a good testimony from your wife and daughter and you'll go court. Sure you'll probably get the best lawyer money can buy but by the time court comes Pacifica will be 18 she'll get all the money and even if you do win and get out of jail. You won't have shit to come back to." Dipper said. Preston looked dipper up and down.

"Smart boy. Fine. You seem to have driven me into a corner. I'll accept this little deal. But I want something else." Preston said. He looked at dipper. "I win. Then I'm gonna kick you and your family out of this town." Preston said. Dipper looked at Preston. Understanding the consequences if he lost this deal. He'd leave gravity falls the barrier causing him and his uncles to forget everything they have seen here and forget all about their job as the protectors of this town. Dipper put his hand out. Then Preston northwest for the first time ever. Shook hands with a commoner.

"So what's the challenge? I'm the one who made the deal. It's only fair you pick the challenge." Dipper said. Preston grinned wickedly.

"A boxing match. Me and you. No rules. One week from today." He said. Dipper nodded then watched as Preston northwest drove away. Pacifica walked out of the house.

"Why did you do that?" Pacifica asked dipper.

"I am not gonna just give you to that asshole." Dipper said. He looked down at Pacifica. She was staring at her shoes.

"Why are you so nice to me when I've caused so many problems. At the beginning I was a total bitch to you, now I've pulled you into a family matter and if you lose you have to leave gravity falls while I decide if I want my inheritance or my freedom." She said. She started to cry. "Why?" She asked. Dipper pulled her into a hug.

"Because... that's just who I am. I don't like to stand down in front of bullies. Also I don't know but I think I might actually like you." Dipper said cracking a smile as Pacifica looked up at him.

"Like 'like like' me or like me as a friend?" She asked. Dipper scooped her up into his arms. Carrying her bridal style.

"The first one." Dipper said then kissed Pacifica's forehead. Pacifica started to blush turning a bright red.

"I think I might like you too." Pacifica said also smiling a little and looking away from dipper. Dipper chuckled as he carried Pacifica into the house. He carried her up the stairs and into his room. There he set Pacifica down on his bed she sat up.

"So. Where's the proof." Dipper said.
