Telling the truth

It's been several weeks since the fight. Only a few more days till Pacifica's 18th birthday. Dipper and Pacifica were walking down the street together. They were going to the local amusement park (the one from "the time travelers pig"). Dipper felt it was a little unstable for some reason and didn't believe all the papers that said the ride was ok and had no problems. What made him not trust the place more was that it was rubbed by Stan. On their way there Pacifica got a call.

"Hello?" She said. Dipper heard someone on the other end. "Sheriff blubs How are you?" Pacifica asked. She paused as she listened to sheriff blubs talking. Suddenly her face went pale. "Ok." She said her voice filled with fear. Then she said bye and hanged up.

"What is it?" Dipper asked concerned. Pacifica turned to him.

"Dad broke out of jail. They think he's coming after us." Pacifica said. She started breathing heavily because of fear. Dipper pulled her into a hug.

"It's ok. It's ok. Your gonna be fine. I will protect you." Dipper said. She started to calm down. "Now I don't know about you but I'm not gonna let your dad ruin this date for us. So are you with me." Dipper said. He pulled away and put out his hand for Pacifica to hold. She looked around hesitantly. She was afraid that her father had already found them. Dipper knew what she was thinking. "Come on." Dipper said encouragingly. Then Pacifica looked at him smiled and took his hand. The rest of the time at the park they went on several rides that seemed unsafe while riding them, and played some carnival games. Dipper won some kind of duck, panda, and some miscellaneous animal stuffed bear. And then to finish up the day they went through the tunnel of love. Then dipper and Pacifica started heading back to the mystery shack. Suddenly dipper heard a click. He whipped around to see a battered Preston northwest pointing the gun at them. Pacifica turned around as well and her eyes opened in fear.

"Thought you got rid of me! Think again!" He snarled. Dipper just looked at the gun in his hands. "You little brats took everything from me!" He yelled.

"No you did that to yourself. Your the one who beat on your wife and daughter." Dipper spat. Preston looked incredulous.

"If weren't for you coming her and turning my daughter from a pristine and fine young woman into a filthy commoner like you! None of this would have happened!" He raised the gun. "Now I will end this!" He yelled. He moved the gun from dipper to Pacifica and pulled the trigger. Dipper acted fast and threw himself in front of her. The bullet hit dipper in the chest and was crushed from the impact. But no harm came to dipper. Preston looked confused. Dipper was just angry. Dipper started cracking his knuckles as he moved forward. Preston started to cower in fear at the fact that he was coming forward. He started unloading the bullets at dipper. Each one falling to the ground crushed like a soda can. Preston was shocked. Dipper grabbed him by the shirt collar and lifted him off the ground with one hand. "Who are you?" He asked fear in his voice.

"I'm the protector of gravity falls bitch." Dipper said then hit him in the face with enough force to knock him out. Then dipper dropped him and started rummaging through the bag he got for all the stuff they won. "Pacifica call the police tell them we found your dad." Dipper said. Pacifica was staring at him and did what he asked. While she was doing that dipper changed from his current shirt (which now had bullet holes in it) into a shirt he won at the carnival and went around picking up all the little crushed bullets. Soon sheriff blubs came and got him and took him away. After they left Pacifica was just staring at him. "I guess I have some explaining to do?" Dipper asked. Pacifica nodded. They went back to the mystery shack and dipper took her into the basement and with the help of ford explained everything to her.

"Now there's only one thing left to do." Ford said. Pacifica looked at them.

"What?" She asked.

"You must decide between living a normal life or this life. There is a way to make you forget everything about what we just told you while you still remember everything else. Decide to do that you will have a normal life. You can go and do whatever it is you want. And you won't be bound to this town for your entire life. Or you can remember all of this and help us in whatever way you can. But you will be stuck in this town and be unable to leave this place unless you want to forget it all." Ford said. Pacifica looked down.

"Can I get a minute alone?" She asked. Ford nodded. He got up and pressed a button opening a door. Pacifica went in the room and the door closed. Dipper sat down in the chair and looked down.

"It's all my fault. It's my fault she's having to decide between freedom and this stupid life." Dipper said guiltily. Ford put a hand on his shoulder.

"You saved her life. And in doing so yes you have put her in a place where she must make a tough call. But it is not entirely your fault. I'd say this is mainly mr. Northwest's fault. And remember. She's getting a choice. She decides what happens from here." Ford said. Then the door opened and Pacifica came back out.

"Ok. I've made my decision." She said. Dipper took a breath then sighed.

"Come on. I'll take you to the towns limits so you can forget." Dipper said sadly. Pacifica moved to him and put a hand on his shoulder. She looked at him with her beautiful eyes.

"Who said I wanted to forget." Pacifica said. Dipper looked at her confused.

"But wouldn't you want to forget all this stuff? I mean it's either this or your freedom. Can't really have both" He asked still confused.

"True. But I want to stay with you." She said. When she said this dipper made a big smile. Then she punched his arm. Dipper didn't feel it. He stopped smiling and looked at her confused.

"Um? Why?" He asked confused.

"Because you didn't tell me!" Pacifica said angrily. Then she calmed down. "Now my main problem is probably trying to convince my mother that I'm not gonna be going to college." She said.

"I can help with that." Ford said while he laid back in his chair. "I think your mother would be more than happy to become my student. After all I am a genius." Ford said. Dipper nodded his head.

"Yeah. When my parents found out I wanted to stay so I could become his apprentice my parents did backflips. He is as he said a genius." Dipper said. Pacifica looked at him.

"Ok. If you say so." Pacifica said.

"Welcome to the protectors ms. Northwest." Ford said as he extended his six finger hand. Pacifica took it and shook it proudly.

Meanwhile elsewhere

"Sir. The boy seems to have grown strong enough to be immune to silver now." Said someone in a dark room.

"Hmm. Seems pine trees gonna become a real pain soon if we don't stop him soon." Said someone else in the darkness. Suddenly a single eye opened in the darkness producing a spotlight revealing a man in yellow robes with a single eye on the front of the hood. "Take care of it." Said the eye.

"Yes sir!" The man said then ran out the room to fulfill his command.

"This is gonna be interesting." Said the eye before it closed.
