This is a story not many people know of, it happened long ago. People have changed the story as it passed on but now I am going to tell you what really happened to Pandora and her box.
It all started with two human brothers Prometheus and Epimetheus. They had interfered with the most powerful of Gods, Zeus, in particular, and this was not the first time they had done something like this. Humans had upset the Gods once before, so the first time the Gods took away their ability to create fire.
However, Prometheus didn't like Zeus's decision, so he found a clever way to bring fire back to the humans. He knew that on the Isle of Lemnos, lived Hephaestus, a blacksmith who kept a fire burning to keep forge hot. Prometheus traveled across Greece to The Isle of Lemnos. There he committed a crime not even Gods would forgive. He stole the fire from the blacksmith for his own greedy reasons and left the Isle of Lemnos before Hephaestus could do anything and believe me when I say Zeus was enraged when he found this out. So he decided that the humans needed to be punished for their lack of respect for the Gods.Zeus came up with a smart plan to punish the brothers for their actions once and for all. Zeus punished Prometheus first and brutally since he had upset Zeus many times before and this time Zeus had, had enough. He had his men seize Prometheus and tie him with unbreakable chains to a rock at Caucasus Mountain. A giant eagle who was ordered by Zeus, would torment Prometheus every day and night tearing at his liver. Zeus gave him a chance to be free and tell him 2 of 3 things but Prometheus refused to tell Zeus anything so his stubbornness got the best of him.
However, for Epimetheus's punishment, Zeus had a devious plan. He asked the God Hephaestus to create a woman out of clay and with the help of the Goddess Athena he brought her to life. From the Goddess Aphrodite came the gift of beauty and from the God Hermes came the gift of charm and the ability to produce beautiful pieces of art. Zeus named her Pandora which means "all gifts" and sent her as a present to Epimetheus.
Epimetheus fell in love with Pandora the second he saw her and agreed to take her hand in marriage and until then everything was going according to Zeus's plan. Her beauty told him she could do no harm but the things left to come said otherwise but Epimetheus didn't know that yet and neither did Pandora.

Pandora started to live in Epimetheus's house and ate dinner with him every night even before the marriage but I'm getting ahead of myself. Pandora had learned to live in Epimetheus's house. She had even made friends with some of the servants, one of them was John he had been nice to Pandora. Every week she would go and talk to him when she got bored. Which was often since most of the time she had nothing to do except paint with the painting tools Epimetheus had got her from one of his journeys.Epimetheus was nice to Pandora even though she was the only mortal girl. He got his men to make her a white gown and a green headpiece which she wore most of the time with her auburn hair tied back and her pale white face showing with an ever so slight tint of pink in her lips. She had blue eyes as if you were staring at the ocean, well at least that's how she looked at herself. She was the opposite of Epimetheus, he had the same pale white skin with dark brown eyes as if you were staring at a puddle of mud. His lips were bright pink with a golden brown mustache above like all the other men she had seen, he wore a blue doublet with breeches and long brown boots with his name engraved on them. He was handsome but Pandora never looked at him that way, even though they were getting married soon.
Pandora thought of Epimetheus as a friend but at last, they had to get married one day because that's what Pandora was created for but she didn't know that at the time, she just knew she had to marry him.
She didn't think of the marriage that much, usually she would just explore the castle. She liked the stone walls and the interior. She would go around exploring and looking at the portraits on the walls, appreciating the art since she was an artist herself. She was curious to see what lied ahead in every hallway and room, her curiosity always got the best of her and because of that very reason, everything changed in her days to come after the marriage which was only one week away. Epimetheus had decided this since he wanted Pandora to be his wife as soon as possible but what he didn't know was that Pandora could cause a lot of damage.
