The time had come, it was Pandora's wedding day. All the people in the land were invited and so were the Gods. Epimetheus wanted to honor Zeus and give him credit for the marriage since he was the one who had sent Pandora to him. But what Epimetheus didn't know was that Zeus didn't send Pandora as a nice gift, he had sent her as a way of revenge, however, nobody knew this, not even Pandora.

Anyway, enough about that, for most women nowadays their wedding day is the happiest day in their whole life but this was not the case for Pandora. She knew this was important but this was not what she wanted, she wanted to enjoy life before handing herself over to Epimetheus but I'm afraid that's not how it worked. She was wearing a stunning white gown which is also known as a peplos, with a sheer white veil attached to her auburn hair which was tied up in a gorgeous bun. She wore diamond earrings which Epimetheus had gotten made from the finest jewelers in the land. She looked stunning but she felt useless as if she had no control over herself anymore and the wedding ceremony hadn't even started yet. Why she felt this way was because nobody had ever gotten married before because she was the first mortal woman and nobody knew how this would work but she had no choice, it was her destiny.

As for Epimetheus, he was jumping for joy as some would say and that was very much true. In his mind, he was marrying the most beautiful woman in the world and this was true because she was the only woman on earth so even if she had no good looks she would still be the most beautiful woman on earth but no doubt she was gorgeous. Epimetheus loved Pandora but this feeling was not mutual. Epimetheus was wearing a white chiton which is a short dress for men.

An hour had passed and it was time for the ceremony and Pandora was not thrilled even though Epimetheus was very happy. The guests had arrived, even Zeus. The church was old it was decorated with white flowers for the wedding. Everyone was ready, the priest was standing at the altar with Epimetheus and all that was left was for the bride to walk in.

As the church bells rang, Pandora walked down the aisle, shivers went down her spine. She saw everyone was staring at her and then she saw Epimetheus standing there but that made her feel even worse. She just wasn't ready for this, but she had no choice.

She reached the altar and the priest began the ceremony. " Dearly beloved we are gathered here today to join Pandora and Epimetheus in holy matrimony. Let us begin, do you Pandora take Epimetheus as your husband?"

"Yes, I" Pandora paused sadly sighing and then she smiled"I do."

"And do you Epimetheus take Pandora to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do" Epimetheus announced unhesitantly while smiling.

After that, they put the rings on each other as the priest began " I now pronounce you Man and Wife."

With that said everyone clapped their hand and congratulated them. Then slowly when the wedding was over people began to leave but Zeus still had to give them his wedding present. First, he gave them the blessing of having a child and the second thing was deadly which was according to his plan but no one knew this.

" Here, this is Pithos, it is also known as the box. I am giving this to you but you shall never open this, understood!" Zeus said clearly.

Pandora and Epimetheus nodded. With that said, Zeus disappeared into thin air, leaving Pandora about to have a baby and with a box she could never open.

Epimetheus hid the box from everyone so it can never be opened but Pandora was curious to see what was in it since the day it arrived but that was the least of her worries since she was about to become the first mother in history. She would still roam around in the castle in her free time running her fingers through the rough stone walls hoping to find the room Epimetheus hid the box in but she never did. This went on for a long time after the wedding even though everything was different Pandora still carried on with her normal routine. But that was about to change sooner than you would expect and it would all be because of two things. However, I can tell you this, one of them would be good and the other would ruin everyone's lives.
