When Two Worlds Collide

•Chapter Thirteen•

ANNIE'S POV
Hayden walks up to me first and tries to hug me. I just brush it off. He asks me what's wrong, but I just shake my head and walk over the Jayden. A few hours go by, and I've managed to ignore Hayden. There were many times that he tried to talk to me or hold my hand, but I walk away every time. Everyone suddenly speed walks ahead, and I'm stuck with Hayden. He pulls me to the side, and we start talking.

H-What's wrong Annie? You've been ignoring me all day.
A-I don't know, why don't you ask your girlfriend? You like her better than me anyway.
*I try to walk away, but Hayden grabs my arm*
H-What are you talking about Annie?
A-Hayden let go of me!
H-No! Not until you tell me what's going on! You're worrying me Annie.
A-I already told you! Ask your girlfriend!
H-But YOU are my girlfriend.
A-Not anymore!

I run away as fast as I can with tears streaming down my face. I can hear Hayden yelling my name, but I keep running and don't look back. I run all the way to the beach and go to the spot where Hayden asked me to be his girlfriend. If only I could turn back the clock and change my answer. Instead I'm stuck here with a broken heart.

*10 minutes later*

I hear footsteps behind then feel a body sit next to me.

H-There you are! I've been looking everywhere for you.
A-Why can't you just leave me alone?
H-Because I love you Annie.
A-You clearly don't if you want to spend my last day here with Kenzie.
H-What?! Where did you get that from?!!!
A-Kenzie's Instagram. I've been getting tagged on screenshots of her post all day.
H-Let me see it...
A-Here.
H-Annie...I haven't talked to Kenzie since bowling the other night. You've been the only girl on my mind.
A-You don't have to spare my feelings Hayden. My heart is already shattered.
H-I'm not trying to spare your feelings. I'm telling you the truth. Annie, ever since I saw you at that airport, I knew you had to be mine. You're the most amazing girl on the planet. I mean you've got it all. You're beautiful, hilarious, caring, and so much more. I could go on and on for years. Anyone is lucky to even lay their eyes on you. I love you Annie, and no one can change that.
A-Really?
H-Yes!
A-Hayden I'm so sorry I put you through all of this. I love you so much, and I didn't want to have to let you go.
H-It's fine Annie. Next time let's not believe anything Kenzie says without talking to each other first.
A-Okay.
*Hayden and I both laugh*
H-Oh and Annie! One more thing.
A-Yes?
H-Will you be my girlfriend again?
A-Of course!

We walk around the beach with our hands intertwined. This moment is perfect. After a few minutes, our parents walk over to us, and we spend the rest of the night on the beach. I have my mom take pics of Hayden and I, so I can make a collage of us. We decide to post the collage on Instagram with the captions "Official💗😘". We get an overwhelming amount of love within the first five minutes of it being posted. As long as I'm with Hayden, life can't get any better.
