Nathan's POV:
"What's going on here?" A voice said behind me. I turned around to find an angry Alyssa.
"Oh nothing. Th-" I was cut off.
"Well it's obviously not nothing." She said, only getting angrier by the second.
"Everyone was just celebrating Nathan asking me out." Ava chimed in.
"Did I ask you?" Alyssa said with a glare at Ava. She turned back to me. "So what are you celebrating without me?"
"I asked Ava out and she said yes. It's not such a big deal like you think it is." I replied.
"Whatever. Can I just eat in peace here?" She asked.
"Nobody asked you to sit here." Mason mumbled.
"What was that? You were mumbling." She barked.
"Nothing." Mason said.
"It was obviously something." Alyssa argued.
"Alyssa, stop treating my friends like that. If you want to eat in peace, go to another table." I ordered. She started walking away.
"Fine. I'm moving to another table. Do any of my friends want to come with me?" Alyssa asked, gazing over our table. Nobody moved or said a word.
"I said, does anyone want-" She was interrupted by Gabby.
"Just go to your table. Nobody's moving." Gabby snapped.
"What did you just say to me?" Alyssa yelled, enraged. Gabby stood up.
"Bitch, do you have hearing problems? I said nobody's moving!" Gabby said. The rest of us watched on in silence.
"How dare you call me a bitch!" Alyssa screamed. By now, the whole cafeteria was watching this exchange.
"You'll pay for that!" She threatened as she walked up to Gabby and slapped her. They started fighting. Thankfully, Nathan grabbed Alyssa and held her back. I did the same with Gabby.
"Let go of me! I want to slap some sense into that girl!" Alyssa spat.
"You're the one that needs to be slapped!" Gabby snarled.
"Let's go to the bathroom Gabby." I said as I pulled her away from the cafeteria. Marie followed.
Once we were in the bathroom, Gabby went over to the sink and started splashing her face with cold water.
"What happened back there girl?" Marie asked.
"I don't know, but I really want to slap that sneer of her face now." Gabby spat.
"You need to calm down, Gabby." I said.
"I'm fine now. Thanks for pulling me away from her. If you hadn't, I would've given her some scars for her to remember me by." Gabby joked.
"Well then I'm glad I did."

Nathan's POV:
"What the hell, Alyssa?" I exploded.
"Gabby called me a bitch!" Alyssa seethed.
"Well you were kind of acting like one." I said.
"Now my best friend doesn't even support me." She started sniffling. I could tell she was about to cry.
"Alyssa, it's not like that." I countered.
"Yes it is. Ever since you made new friends, you haven't supported me at all. You act like you don't want me around anymore." She stopped sniffling and glared at me.
"You replaced me with them." She snarled.
"Well they've been better friends than you ever have!" I snapped.
"You see? They've gotten into your head. I think you just want to be popular, so you hang around with them. Now since you're 'popular', you don't want to be seen with me." She yelled.
"I don't have any other friends. It's just you. Don't make me lose you too." She whispered and started sniffling.
"Please stop crying. I'm not just gonna throw you away. You've always been there for me, and I'm not taking that for granted." I said. I've always been a sucker for crying girls.
"So you mean we're still friends?" She asked.
"Yes. Only if you stop being rude to my other friends." I replied. She glared at me again.
"Why do you always think about other people? You need to pick. Me, or them."
