A loud beep woke me up from my peaceful sleep, rubbing the tiredness from my sleepy eyes. After laying in my bed for a while, and staring at my ceiling. I realized it was the "dreaded" first day of school.

Sighing in annoyance I get out of bed and walk towards my closet. After I finished getting ready, I grabbed my backpack and head towards the stairs.

Before reaching it I paused by Will's room. "Don't hurt yourself in there", I knocked.

Knowing him he's testing to see if he got super strength by trying to lift heavy weights. I go downstairs to the kitchen to see my mom finishing up making breakfast. I walked over to her and smiled, "Morning Mom".

"Good morning, go get your drink", I set my backpack down and head to the fridge, I pulled out and poured some cranberry juice into my cup. I sit down and start munching on my bacon and eggs.

"Good Morning Dad". He came in and kissed me on the forehead. "Morning sweetheart". I continue to eat while my dad started a conversation with mom.

"Honey, I know that selling real estate is just our cover but I think we're in line to win that sales trip to Hawaii", Mom sounded excitedly confident. Dad talked about the last time they went to Hawaii and started flirting and kissing Mom.

"Ewww. Your child is trying to keep the food in her stomach thank you very much", I gagged at their little romance.

Mom rolled her eyes and Dad chuckled, "I'll be back I need to get your brother". He began to walk up to Will's room.

The sounds of metal clinking together tell that Will is most likely placed even heavier weight on. I heard the front door open and walked in Layla.

"Morning." I greeted her with a smile. "Oh good morning Layla", my mom beamed.
"Good morning, Mrs. Stronghold". Layla replied back with a smile.

Mom walked over to the stove, "Are you hungry? I got plenty of eggs and bacon".

"No thanks. So you know how my mom can communicate with animals well apparently they don't like to be eaten", Layla stated.

Mom froze, then awkwardly walked to the fridge, "How about some juice?"

     "Perfect", Layla smiled.

"Well more bacon for me", I pick up my plate and rushed to the stove. Layla looks at me with disgust and I stuck out my tongue at her, "It's the circle of life".

Dad came in followed by Will and greeted Layla, "I can't believe how big you three have gotten".

"It feels like yesterday you three were swimming naked in the kiddie pool", Mom added while smiling at the memory. "MOM", Will and I said at the exact same time.

The phone rang and Dad picked it up, "Uh huh, yes Mayor". Then he turned to Mom being slightly over dramatic, "There's trouble downtown. Big trouble. Downtown".

"Shoot, I was hoping to see Will and (y/n) off to the bus", Mom sighed. "I remember their first day of preschool. Will wouldn't let go of my leg while (y/n) ran in without even looking back", Mom smiling again.

"MOM", Will yelled out of embarrassment while I softly laughed.

"JOSIE!", Dad called. "Oh. Bye you guys love you!", giving us a goodbye air kiss. Then rushed towards bookshelf which opened to a secret room.

"Oh, and most of the kids at your school have one super parent, not two so try taking it easy on them, no showing off", Dad added before he left.
