Chapter 9: It's My Mission

"Kit we're in positions", Mizuchi voice came through the earpiece of my mask.

As they said Paris at night was beautiful, the stars twinkled softly, the crescent moon, and the sound of silence in a criminal's property.

As I kneeled on top of a building I looked at our three story target.

Victor Barteau the head of one of the biggest crime families in France. Our mission is to retrieve a teardrop shaped pink diamond that's worth about $30 million.

We retrieve 'stolen' items.

"Ok move in", I jumped down landing softly in the courtyard hiding behind a tree. We have ten minutes to be in and out before the alarm system reboots. Armed guards circled around the perimeter.

Snap.

A branch broke causing alarm to one of the guards who shot the tree near the sound.

A cat ran out of the bush.

The other two just laughed at him and his stupidity while he ignored them. As that same guard communicated with the other through an earpiece as I quietly knocked out his two bubbies.

From behind I tapped his shoulder before he could react I jabbed his neck. He turned away clutching his throat then I hit the back of his head. Let him fall to the ground unconscious.

I went inside with the use of the security card that I picked and made my way to the main office.

Locked.

I placed the magnetic gadget on the swipe pad and it unlocked. I closed the door behind me and searched through the files.

This Crime Lord has been milking money out of the surrounding people and with no viable evidence the police can do nothing about it. So I'm here to provide them with some leverage.

"I got it. Let's get out", Shadow Beast said.

"Okay I'll meet you out", I continued to search. Until I knocked a pen holder and a section of the floor popped lose. Jack pot.

Disarming the password I pulled out a bag of money. Smiling I go to window but stop when I heard footsteps outside. Hiding in the shadows the doors opened and two guys walked in.

They were speaking in French until I spoke, "Bonjour mesdames". Surprised they both turned around.

One of them throws a punch which I dodged then knees him hard in the stomach. The other pulled out a gun and started emptying his magazine one of them hit my shoulder. But thanks to my suit no damage was done, "ow".

I slammed the heavy bag against his head then made my way out of the room. Then the alarm went off. "Times up Ms. (Y/n) may I suggest the quickest route for you", Axel asked.

"And miss the fun", I pouted as voices came from the end of the hall. "Now Ms. (Y/n) there is plenty of fun where we're heading".

"Alright Axel lead the way", I ran with the bag of money upstairs. Shots were fired at me three below and two above. Running I threw the bag at one guy in front and kicked the other causing him to go over the rails.

Then I punched the guy still holding the bag and grabbed his gun as he went down. I shot the one coming upstairs in the leg and watched as he rolled down into his buddies behind. I continued to make my way to the top as shots were still fired.

I slammed open the doors to the roof then locking it shut behind. I dropped the gun in disgust, "I hate guns".

It scanned the area until I heard something pierce concrete. An arrow with a cable line hit the side of the building. I pulled out my gadget, connect it to the line and zipped down.
